Մալայզիայի արեւելքում 6.0 մագնիտուդով երկրաշարժ է տեղի ունեցել։ Այս մասին հայտնում է ԱՄՆ երկրաբանական ծառայությունը, փոխանցում է ՏԱՍՍ-ը։

Ըստ առկա տեղեկությունների՝ երկրաշարժի օջախը գտնվել է 10 կմ խորության վրա, իսկ էպիկենտրոնը Ռանաու քաղաքից 19 կմ հյուսիս-արեւմուտք։

Զոհերի եւ ավերածությունների մասին տեղեկություններ չկան։
