Արցախում զոհված կապիտան Արգիշտի Գաբոյանը չհասցրեց զորամասում Սպարապետ Վազգեն Սարգսյանի փոքրիկ թանգարանը բացել, որի համար խնամքով հավաքել էր Սպարապետի նկարներն ու նրա մասին պատմող նյութերը, որոնք այժմ պահվում են Արգիշտիի սենյակում:
Քառօրյա պատերազմում անհայտ կորած Արգիշտի Գաբոյանի մարմինն ապրիլի 20-ին Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեի (ԿԽՄԿ) հովանու ներքո ադրբեջանական կողմը վերադարձրել էր հայկական կողմին:
Արգիշտին Շիրակի մարզի Մեծ Մանթաշ գյուղից էր: Մայիսի 13-ին նա կդառնար 25 տարեկան: 168.am-ի հետ զրույցում հերոսի մայրը՝ Հասմիկ Սարգսյանը, պատմում է, որ դեռ մանկուց որդին սիրել է բանակը և զինվորական հոր հետ միշտ գնացել է ջոկատի հավաքներին: Այդ այցերից մեկի ժամանակ էլ հանդիպել է Սպարապետ Վազգեն Սարգսյանին, զրուցել հետը ու այդ օրվանից մեծ համակրանք տածել Սպարապետի նկատմամբ. Արգիշտին այդ ժամանակ 6 տարեկան էր: «Մայիսի 9-ին պետք է Վազգեն Սարգսյանի թանգարանը բացեր իրենց զորամասում, էն էլ չբացեց…»,- ասում է մայրը:
Դպրոցն ավարտելուց հետո Արգիշտին հստակ գիտեր՝ ուզում է զինվորական դառնալ և ընդունվում է Վազգեն Սարգսյանի անվան ռազմական ինստիտուտ: Ինստիտուտն ավարտելուց հետո ծառայության էր անցել Թալիշում: Տիկին Հասմիկի խոսքով՝ Արգիշտին շատ էր սիրում Թալիշը. «Ես ուզում էի, որ ինքն ամուսնուս հետ Քարվաճառում ծառայեր: Ինստիտուտն ավարտելուց հետո վիճակահանության ժամանակ ամուսինս Քարվաճառից եկավ, որ խոսենք՝ տղաս էլ Քարվաճառ գնա, բայց Արգիշտս դուրս եկավ, ասաց, թե ծնողներին չեն թողնում մասնակցել վիճակահանությանը: Սակայն մեզ խաբեց, խաբեց ու միանգամից Թալիշ գնաց, չէր ուզել Քարվաճառ գնալ»:
Հայրը՝ Արծվի Գաբոյանը, հանդիպել էր որդու հետ հենակետում ու մանրամասներ պատմեց վերջին հանդիպման ու դրանից հետո տեղի ունեցած դեպքերի մասին. «Այնպես պատահեց, որ ապրիլի 2-ի լույս 3-ի առավոտ ես այդ հատվածում եղա: Արգիշտիիս երբ հանդիպեցի՝ ժպտալով ասաց. «Պապ, էս ինչի՞ ես եկել էստեղ»: Ինքը մտածեց, թե մենակ եմ գնացել, բայց մենք ամբողջ ստորաբաժանումով էինք գնացել: Պատասխանեցի, որ մենակ չեմ, մեր բոլոր տղերքով ենք: Երկրորդ բառն էր՝ պապ, գյուղն ավերեցին: Հարցրի՝ տունը շա՞տ է վնասվել, հնարավո՞ր է ապրել, պատասխանեց, թե ապակիներն են կոտրվել, բայց ապրել հնարավոր է: Ասի՝ բա պատերազմ է, բա ի՞նչ ես ուզում, տղա ջան: Հետո ասաց, թե հրամանատարը հրաման է տվել, որ դիրք բարձրանան, ինքն էլ իր զորքին հրահանգավորեց, որ շարվեն, ու հետները գնաց: Ես էլ հետևից գնացի: Հետո կանգնեցի, ինձ գրկեց, ասաց՝ պա, էլ մի արի, գնա: Համբուրվեցինք, իրար հաջողություն մաղթեցինք, ու հեռացավ… Ես կանգնած նայեցի հետևից, ինքը մի 30 քայլ գնաց, հետո շուռ եկավ, ժպտալով ինձ նայեց (մոր խոսքով՝ Արգիշտին հազվադեպ էր ժպտում.- Ռ.Մ.) ու թեթև քայլերով հեռացավ…
