Էջմիածինցի Նարեկ Խաչատրյանը Արցախի դեմ Ադրբեջանի սանձազերծած ագրեսիայի ժամանակ վիրավորվել է մայիսի 6-ի լույս 7-ի գիշերը. ուսի շրջանում ստացած վիրավորումից հետո ժամկետային զինծառայողը շարունակել է կրակել:
«Գիշերը ժամը 4-ի կողմերը բարձրացանք, մեր հերթափոխն էր: Մեկ էլ նկատեցի, որ ինչ-որ մեկը մոտենում է: Դիրքավորվեցինք ու սկսեցինք կրակել: Ում որ ես նկատել էի, խփեցի, որովհետեւ գոռոցը լսեցի: Այդ պահին ուրիշ կողմից ինձ վրա կրակեցին»,- վիրավորվելու մանրամասները պատմում է 19-ամյա Նարեկը:
Նարեկ Խաչատրյանը սպորտսմեն է, «մարտեր առանց կանոնների» մարզաձեւի չեմպիոն, սակայն վնասվածքից հետո դադարեցրել էր մարզումները։ «Հիմա ուսիս վնասվածքից հետո հաստատ այլեւս չեմ կարողանա մարզվել... հիմա մենակ մտածում եմ շուտ ապաքինվելու եւ ծառայության վերադառնալու մասին»,-նշել է Նարեկ Խաչատրյանը։
Նարեկը կապիտան Արգիշտի Գաբոյանի զինվորներից էր: Այսօր մեծ ցավով ու ափսոսանքով է հիշում իր կապիտանի մասին. «Բոլորս հիշում ենք Արգիշտի Գաբոյանին, շատ գոհ էինք իրենից, իսկական զինվոր էր, հարգանքով, բոլորս իրեն սիրում էինք»:
Նշենք, որ ապրիլի սկզբին ադրբեջանական ռազմական ագրեսիայի հետեւանքով Թալիշի ուղղությամբ մարտական գործողությունների ժամանակ անհետ կորել էր կապիտակ Արգիշտի Գաբոյանը։ Ավելի ուշ, ապրիլի 20-ին, Կարմիր խաչի միջազգային կոմիտեի եւ ԵԱՀԿ գործող նախագահի անձնական ներկայացուցչի գրասենյակի միջնորդությամբ, նրա մարմինն Բաշ Քարվենդ բնակավայրի մոտակայքում հանձնվել է ղարաբաղյան կողմին։
Արգիշտին ավարտել է Վազգեն Սարգսյանի անվան ռազմական ինստիտուտը, այս տարի՝ մայիսի 9-ին, նրա երազանքներից մեկն իրականություն պիտի դառնար. զորամասում Վ. Սարգսյանի անվան թանգարան պիտի բացվեր նրա ջանքերով: Արգիշտիի հայրը՝ Արծվիկ Գաբոյանը 1988-ից մասնակցել է արցախյան ազատամարտին, ավագ լեյտենանտ է, վերջերս պայմանագրային ծառայության էր անցել։
