Այսօր մարդիկ կկարողանան դիտել աստղագիտական հազվագյուտ մի երեւույթ՝ Մերկուրիի անցումը Արեգակի սկավառակի վրայով:
Երեւանում այս գեղեցիկ երեւույթի սիրողական դիտումը նախաձեռնել է «Գուդրայք Ջոն» աստղասերների հասարակական կազմակերպությունը: Դիտումը տեղի կունենա Գաֆեսճյան թանգարան-հիմնադրամի տարածքում՝ Կասկադ համալիրի վերին հարթակում` Երեւանի 2750-ամյակի հուշասյան մոտ՝ ժամը 15:15-18:30-ը: Նախաձեռնողներն հայտարարել են, որ աստղադիտակներ ունեցողները կարող են միջոցառմանը գալ իրենց աստղադիտակներով: Նշենք, որ վերջին անգամ այս երեւույթը դիտվել է 2006թ. նոյեմբերին, իսկ հաջորդ անգամ հարմար կլինի դիտել այն միայն 2032թ.:
Կազմակերպությունը նաեւ զգուշացրել է, որ Մերկուրիի անցումը Արեգակի սկավառակի վրայով հնարավոր է դիտել միայն հատուկ ֆիլտրերով զինված աստղադիտակներով եւ առանց այդ պայմանների պահպանման դիտումը կարող է առաջացնել տեսողական խնդիրներ:
