Խե՞լքը թե՞ ոտքերը. Ինչ չափանիշներով են տղամարդիկ ընտրում կանանց

Աշխարհի առաջատար բրիտանացի էվոլյուցիոն կենսաբաններից մեկը վստահեցնում է, որ տղամարդկանց համար կանանց մեջ շատ ավելի կարևոր է խելքը, քան ոտքերի երկարությունն ու կրծքի չափը:
Գիտնականը հերքում է այն, թե մարդկության ուժեղ կեսը գնահատում է միայն կանանց արտաքին գրավչությունը: Սակայն դրա հետ մեկտեղ պրոֆեսորը ուշադրություն է հրավիրում այն բանի վրա, որ ինտելեկտը դասվում է գեղեցկությունից բարձր այն պարագայում, երբ տղամարդը կնոջը դիտարկում է որպես ապագա կյանքի ընկեր, այլ ոչ՝ սիրուհի:
Արդարության համար նշենք, որ մինչ սեփական էրուդիցիան և խելքը ցուցադրելը, կինը պետք է արտաքնապես դուր գա տղամարդուն: Սակայն դեպքերի մեծամասնության պարագայում ցածր մտավոր կարողություններով շլացնող գեղեցկուհու և բավական գրավիչ խելացի աղջկա պարագայում տղամարդն ընտրում է վերջինին:
Կենսաբանը նաև կարծում է , որ տղամարդիկ ուշադրություն են դարձնում ոչ թե ոտքերի երկարությանը, այլ կազմվածքի համաչափությանը ենթագիտակցորեն հաշվի առնելով այն, որ այդպիսի զուգընկերն առողջ է և ունի կայուն գեներ:
Տղամարդկանց մեծամասնության ընտրությունը կանգ է առնում միջին երկարության ոտքերով կանանց վրա:
Սակայն առաջին հերթին տղամարդուն կնոջ մեջ գրավում է խելքը, նախ և առաջ այն պատճառով, որ նա կնոջը դիտարկում է որպես իր ապագա երեխաների մայր՝ ցանկանալով, որ իր երեխաները ևս լինեն առողջ և խելացի:
Այդպիսի անսպասելի եզրակացությունը, այնուամենայնիվ, հաճախ հաստատվում է պրակտիկայում. տղամարդիկ կանանց մեջ չեն գնահատում միայն արտաքին գրավչությունը:
