«Ինչպես հայտնի է չերնոբիլյան ԱԷԿ-ի վթարը լիկվիդացնելու համար, Խորհրդային միությունը կիրառել է ոչ միայն մասնագիտական՝ այլև զինվորական տեխնիկա այդ թվում ուղաթիռներ, տանկեր, զրահամեքենաներ և այլն: Դրանք բոլորը վթարի վերացումից հետո տեղափոխվել էին հատուկ տեղ՝ չեռնոբիլյան գոտու ներսում և հավերժ թողնվել «գերեզմանոցում»։ Շուրջ 100 հազար միավոր տարատեսակ տեխնիկա այլևս անհնար էր օգտագործել, քանզի մեքենաները դարձել էին ռադիոակտիվ։
Սակայն, ինչպես գրում է «Կոմսոմոլսկայա պրավդան», վերջերս, եթե հավատանք արբանյակային լուսանկարներին, պարզվել է, որ հարթակը, ուր թողնվել էր ռազմական տեխնիկան, գործնականում դատարկ է։ Թե ուր են կորել տանկերն ու քարշակները, Կիևը չի պատասխանում։ Ինչպես հաղորդում է թերթը, փորձագետները ենթադրում են՝ բացառված չի, որ Ուկրաինայի իշխանությունները այդ տեխնիկան ուղարկել են պատերազմելու Դոնբասում՝ ոչ ոքի չզգուշացնելով տանկերի ծագումնաբանության մասին:
