Ծննդատանը իրար հետ շփոթված երկու բրազիլացիներ 25 տարի շարունակ ապրել են օտար ծնողների հետ։ Ինչպես հայտնում է Associated Press–ը, սխալի մասին հայտնի է դարձել 2008–ին, որից հետո 2 ընտանիքներն սկսել են միասին ապրել։
25–ամյա Դիմաս Ալիպրանդիին վաղուց է տանջել այն փաստը, որ ինքը նման չէ իր 4 քույրերին. նա միշտ եղել է շիկահեր ու կապուտաչյա, իսկ քույրերը՝ թխահեր ու մուգ գույնի աչքերով։
14 տարեկանում Դիմասը հեռուստացույցով դիտել է ծննդատանը շփոթած երեխաների մասին հաղորդում, ինչից հետո հորն ասել է, որ ցանկանում է ԴՆԹ–ի թեստ անցնել։ Այդ ժամանակ դա շատ թանկ էր նրա ընտանիքի համար, այդ պատճառով թեստն անցկացվել է միայն 10 տարի անց, ինչի արդյունքում տղայի կասկածները հաստատվել են։
Սկզբում մարդիկ, ում Դիմասն ամբողջ կյանքում ծնող է անվանել, չէին ուզում հավատալ, սակայն հետո որոշել են օգնել տղային՝ գտնել իր կենսաբանական ծնողներին։
Այն բանից հետո, երբ 2 տարբեր ընտանիքների զավակներն իմացել են ճշմարտությունը, նրանք որոշել են միավորվել։
