ՀՀ Ազգային ժողովի նախագահի՝ Ընտանիքի օրվան նվիրված շնորհավորական ուղերձում ասվում է.
«Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ, շնորհավորում եմ Ընտանիքի օրվա առթիվ:
Մեր ազգային ակունքներից բխող այս տոնը միաժամանակ համամարդկային է, քանի որ իր մեջ ներառում է այնպիսի հասկացություններ, որոնք կարևորագույն նշանակություն ունեն բոլոր մարդկանց համար` տուն, ծնող, երեխա, հայրենիք:
Այս տոնը երիտասարդ լինելով հանդերձ` ունի հին ու հիմնավոր պատմություն` հանձին մարդկության պատմության, որովհետև ընտանիքն ազգի հիմնասյունն է և պետության հիմնաքարը, որի ամրությունը փորձության է ենթարկվում թե՛ խաղաղ, թե՛ առավել ևս պատերազմական ժամանակաշրջանում: Մեր պատմության ընթացքում ընտանիքը՝ որպես օջախ ու փոքրիկ հայրենիք, բազում այդպիսի փորձությունների միջով է անցել: Ապրիլյան վերջին պատերազմական իրադարձություններում հերոսացած հայ զինվորն ու սպան ի դեմս հայրենիքի պաշտպանեցին նաև իրենց ընտանիքները, հաղթեցին՝ հանուն հայրենիքի ու հանուն ընտանիքի, զոհվեցին՝ հանուն հայրենիքի ու հանուն ընտանիքի: Հայրենիքը սիրելու, ընկերոջը փրկելու, հողը չզիջելու, հավատարմության ու նվիրումի առաջին դասերը նրանք ստացել էին ընտանիքից ու ծնողից և այդ դասերը ամբողջացրել հայրենիքի գաղափարով:
Չափազանց խոր իմաստ ունի, երբ սահմանին միասին կանգնած են կամավորական հայրն ու զինվոր որդին, աշխատանքի` ծառայության գնացող սպա ամուսնուն նորածին երեխայի հետ հրաժեշտ է տալիս երիտասարդ կինը, և, իհարկե, որդուն բանակ է ճանապարհում մայրը. բոլորն էլ հուզված, բայց և անսահման հպարտ: Սա խորհրդանշական վկայությունն է այն բանի, որ, անկախ տնտեսական ու սոցիալական դժվարություններից, մեզանում ընտանիքը միշտ հաստատուն է պահել երկրի հիմքը` ավելի ամրացնելով այն, զինվոր ու քաղաքացի դաստիարակելով, թրծելով, նրանց` հայրենիքին, հայրենիքն էլ նրանց վստահելով:
Վերստին շնորհավորելով այս լուսավոր տոնի առթիվ` մաղթում եմ, որ մեր ընտանիքներում հարատևեն ջերմությունը, սերն ու համերաշխությունը, որ խաղաղությունը և բարեկեցությունը լինեն մեր օջախների մշտական ուղեկիցները, իսկ լավատեսությունը բոլորիս միշտ ոգևորի ու անսասան հույս տա, որ վաղվա օրն ավելի լավն է լինելու թե՛ յուրաքանչյուր ընտանիքի, թե՛ մեր երկրի համար»:
