 Որքան երկար է շարունակվում հակամարտությունը Լեռնային Ղարաբաղում, որքան ինտենսիվ զինվում են հակամարտող կողմերը, այնքան բարձր է նոր էսկալացիայի, այդ թվում Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև պատերազմի ռիսկը: Այդ մասին Վիեննայում ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահների հետ հանդիպումից առաջ հայտարարել է Գերմանիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Ֆրանկ-Վալտեր Շտայնմայերը:

«Վեց շաբաթ առաջ շփման գծում տեղի ունեցած կատաղի մարտերը ցույց են տալիս, որ երկարաժամկետ ստատուս-քվոն խոցելի է երկարաժմակտե առումով: Որքան երկար է շարունակվում հակամարտությունը, որքան ինտենսիվ են զինվում դրա կողմերը, այնքան նոր էսկալացիայի, անգամ Հայաստանի և Ադրբեջանի միջև պատերազմի ռիսկը մեծ է»,- ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը` վկայակոչելով «Ռիա-նովոստի»-ն, ասել է Շտայնմայերը: Նրա խոսքով` ԵԱՀԿ-ն կարևոր դեր է խաղում հակամարտության լուծման գործում:

«Ֆրանսիան, Ռուսաստանը և ԱՄՆ-ը երկար տարիների ընթացքում փորձում են որպես ԵԱՀԿ ՄԽ համանախագահներ` ամրապնդել հրադադարի ռեժիմը, վերականգնել քաղաքական գործընթացը: Գերմանիան, որպես ԵԱՀԿ նախագահող երկիր, սատարում է նրանց»,- ավելացրել է Շտայնմայերը:

Գերմանիայի ԱԳ նախարարը կարծիք է հայտնել, որ հիմնական նպատակը պետք է կայանա հետևյալում. «Շփման գծում պետք է հաստատվի ու ամրապնդվի հրադադարը, համաձայնեցվեն վստահության մեխանիզմները և սկսվի բանակցային գործընթաց: Դա որոշակի ժամանակ կպահանջի, օր առաջ որոշում չի լինի»,- նշել է Գերմանիայի ԱԳ նախարարը:

ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանն արդեն ժամանել է Վիեննա: Մայիսի 16-ին նախագահ Սարգսյանը կմասնակցի ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահողների նախաձեռնությամբ նախատեսված մի շարք աշխատանքային հանդիպումների: Վիեննայում են նաև համանախագահող մյուս երկրների` Ռուսաստանի և Ֆրանսիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարարները: ՄԽ համանախագահները մայիսի 12-ին հայտարարություն էին տարածել` նշելով. «Վերջին բռնությունների և շփման գծում լարվածությունը թուլացնելուանհրաժեշտության լույսի ներքո մենք հավատում ենք, որ եկել է Հայաստանի ու Ադրբեջանինախագահների հանդիպման ժամանակը: Նրանց հիմնական խնդիրը կլինի ամրապնդել հրադադարի ռեժիմը և հասնել վստահություն սերմանող միջոցների շուրջ համաձայնության,ինչը բարենպաստ պայմաններ կստեղծի բանակցությունների վերսկսման համար` հանունհամապարփակ կարգավորման` հիմնված քննարկվող հիմնարար տարրերի և սկզբունքներիվրա»:
