Բրիտանական ՄԻ6 հետախուզական ծառայության նախկին ղեկավար Ռիչարդ Դիեռլավը հայտարարել է, որ Եվրոպային «պոպուլիստական հուզումներ» են սպառնում միգրացիայի սահմանափակման միջոցներ ձեռնարկելուց հրաժարվելու դեպքում, տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով BBC-ին:

Նա նաեւ դեմ է արտահայտվել Եվրոպա Թուրքիայի քաղաքացիների մուտքի այցագրային սահմանափակումների չեղարկմանը՝ այդ միջոցը համեմատելով կրակի մոտ բենզին պահելու հետ:

Ավելի վաղ ամերիկացի հայտնի կինոդերասանուհի Անջելինա Ջոլին, որը ՄԱԿ-ի հատուկ դեսպանի կարգավիճակ ունի, նախազգուշացրել է, որ փախստականների հումանիտար օգնության համակարգը կործանման եզրին է: Նա խոսել է միգրանտների ալիքի առջեւ սաստկացող վախի մասին, որը դրդում է տարբեր երկրների կառավարությունների ավելի ու ավելի խիստ միջոցներ ձեռնարկել ընդունվող փախստականների թիվը սահմանափակելու նպատակով:

Բրիտանական հետախուզության նախկին ղեկավարի խոսքով՝ Եվրոպա ժամանող ներգաղթյալների թիվն առաջիկա հինգ տարում հավանաբար կչափվի միլիոններով: Այդ ճգնաժամն, ըստ նրա՝ կարող է հանգեցնել աշխարհամասում աշխարհաքաղաքական լանդշաֆտի լիակատար փոփոխման:

«Եթե Եվրոպային չհաջողվի համատեղ ջանքերով բնակչության զգալի մեծամասնությանը համոզել, որ ինքն ընդունակ Է հսկողության տակ առնել միգրացիոն ճգնաժամը, ապա ԵՄ-ն կհանձնվի պոպուլիստական խռովության ողորմածությանը, որի բռնկման նշաններն արդեն նկատելի են»,- ասել է Դիեռլավը:
