Եթե ադրբեջանցիները դրժեն իրենց խոստումները, խախտեն հրադադարի պայմանները, մենք այլ ելք չեն ունենա, քան համարժեք պատասխանելը, իրականությունը սա է: Այս մասին հայտարարել է ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը Վիեննայից Երևան վերադառնալու ճանապարհին օդանավում այցը լուսաբանող լրագրողներին հետ զրույցում ամփոփելով ԵԱՀԿ Մինսկի խմբի համանախագահող երկրների նախաձեռնությամբ Ադրբեջանի նախագահ Իլհամ Ալիևի հետ կայացած հանդիպումը: «Մենք պատարստ ենք ցանկացած ելքի, բայց մեր ցանկությունն է, որ այդ ելքը լինի խաղաղ ճանապարհը: Մեր նպատակն է, որ մեր խնդիրները լուծենք խաղաղ ճանապարհով, բանակցություններով, բայց եթե ադրբեջանցիները դրժեն իրենց խոստումները, խախտեն հրադադարի պայմանները, մենք այլ ելք չեն ունենա, քան համարժեք պատասխանելը, իրականությունը սա է: Հուսով ենք, որ խախտումները քիչ կլինեն: Ես չեմ կարծում, որ վաղվանից խախտումները կբացառվեն, բայց հույս ունեմ, որ հանդարտ կլինի»,-ընդգծել է նախագահը:

 

«Մեր նպատակն էր պարզել, թե իրականության մեջ բանակցությունները մտել են փակուղի՞ և այլ ելք չկա՞, քան պատերազմելը, թե՞, այնուամենայնիվ, մենք կարող ենք խնդիրը լուծել քիչ կորուստներով: Ընդհանուր առմամբ, ես և իմ գործընկերները բավարարված ենք հանդիպման արդյունքներով: Մանրամասներին անդրադառնելու անհրաժեշտություն չկա` ելնելով մի քանի հանգամանքներից: Այդուհանդերձ, Ադրբեջանի նախագահը հավաստիացրեց, որ իր երկիրը և ինքն անձամբ, նպատակ չունեն պատերազմական գործողություններով հասնելու խնդրի լուծման»,-ասել է նախագահն` ընդծելով, որ դա լավ է, բայց քիչ հավատ է ներշնչում: Ըստ նրա` այդպիսի խոսակցություններ եղել են բազմիցս, բայց արդեն մի քանի տարի է` այդ պայմանավորվածությունները չեն պահվում:

«Մենք իրավունք չունենք միայն մեր կանխատեսումներով առաջնորդվելու, որովհետև պատերազմը լավագույն լուծումը չէ, ուստի կտեսնենք, թե իրադարձություններն ինչպես կզարգանան: Բոլոր պարագաներում մենք պատարստ ենք ցանկացած ելքի, իհարկե, մեր ցանկությունն է, որ այդ ելքը լինի խաղաղ ճանապարհը»,-նշել է Սերժ Սարգսյանը:

Նրա խոսքով, խոսակցություն գնաց այն մասին, որ որոշ ժամանակ հետո ևս ճշիտ կլինի հանդիպել: Հայաստանը կառուցողական առաջարկով է հանդես եկել: Ըստ նախագահի`քանի որ խոսքը գնում էր հրադադարի ռեժիմը պահպանելու ուղղությամբ համանախագահների կողմից մոնիտորինգի հաստատման մասին, ապա Հայաստանն առաջարկեց,  որ դա հաստատվի մինչև հաջորդ հանդիպումը: Սերժ Սարգսյանի կարծիքով` դա կլինի կողմերի կողմից կառուցողական մոտեցում:
