Ներկայացնում ենք թերթի խմբագրականից մի հատված.
«Գեներալ Մանվել Գրիգորյանը կրկին հայտնվել է հասարակության ուշադրության կենտրոնում։ Արցախյան պատերազմի սպաներից մեկը՝ Վահան Բադասյանը, նկարագրել է Արցախում Մանվելի տգեղ, կասեի նույնիսկ՝ հերթական տգեղ արարքը: Թե Հայաստանում և թե Արցախում գեներալին թվում է, որ եթե նա օլիգարխիայի ներկայացուցիչներից մեկն է, նրան պետք է արտահերթ ճանապարհ տան, խոնարհվեն և փառաբանեն։ Չի՛ հասնում։ Այն վարքագծի համար, որը նա դրսևորել է 1994 թվականից առ այսօր, հաստատ չի հասնում։ Բայց Վահան Բադասյանի տեղեկություններով՝ Մանվելը զենքը ձեռքին չի կռվել՝ չնայած ես դրա վերաբերյալ այլ՝ հակառակ տեղեկություններ ունեմ, և իմ աղբյուրների հավաստի լինելուն ես վստահում եմ։ Պարզապես պատերազմում խիզախաբար կռված Մանվելի ու պատերազմից հետո լկտիացած Մանվելի միջև տետք է հստակ սահմանագիծ դնել, և պետք չէ երկրորդի հատկանիշները տարածել առաջինի վրա։ Բադասյանն ասում է նաև, որ պատերազմի ժամանակ Մանվելը ինչ-որ բաներ տանում էր Էջմիածին՝ դրան, ճիշտն ասած, հավատում եմ. ռազմավարը յուրացնում էր ոչ միայն Մանվելը, այլև բազմաթիվ այլ հայտնի դեմքեր։ Նույնիսկ դրա համար երբեմն կռվում էին իրար հետ։ Գուցե համաձայն չլինեք, բայց դա, իմ կարծիքով, չի նսեմացնում այդ մարդկանց մարտական ծառայությունները։
Ամբողջ խնդիրն այն է, որ եթե դու հերոս ես, քեզ վրա ընկնում է սարսափելի պատասխանատվություն, որի տակից դուրս գալու համար պետք է նախ՝ խելք, և երկրորդ՝ այնպիսի արիություն, որն իր չափով չի զիջում ռազմական հակառակորդի հետ կռվելու խիզախությանը։ Մանվել Գրիգորյանը չունի այն ինտելեկտն ու կրթությունը, որպեսզի զգա, թե պատերազմի հերոս լինելն ինչ ծանր բեռ է։ Հակառակ դետքում կհրաժարվեր գեներալի ուսադիրներից (անգրագետ մարդը չի կարող գեներալ լինել), տատգամավորի մանդատից (նույն պատճառով) և «բիզնեսներից» (որովհետև անգրագետ մարդը չի կարող իսկական բիզնես վարել). Մյուս կողմից էլ իշխանությունը 1994 թվականից սկսած պետք է այնքան բարոյական ու հեռատես լիներ, որ քաղաքական նպատակներով չօգտագործեր «երկրապահներին» և չտար նրանց վերնախավին այն, ինչին նրանք արժանի չեն։
Դե, հիմա պատկերացրեք, որ այս ապրիլի սկզբին դիքերը հերոսաբար պաշտպանած մեր հրաշք երիտասարդներից մի քանիսը տարիների ընթացքում «հաբռգեն» և դառնան հակահերոսներ։ Պետք է ամեն ինչ անել, որ նման բան տեղի չունենա»,–գրում է թերթի խմբագիրը։
