Հայաստանում վերջին տասնամյակի ընթացքում իրականացվել են մի շարք բարեփոխումներ, որոնք ներդրումներ կատարելու հնարավորություններ են ստեղծում: «Արմենպրես»-ի փոխանցմամբ` այս մասին մայիսի 18-ին լրագրողների հետ զրույցում հայտարարեց Հայաստանում ԱՄՆ դեսպան Ռիչարդ Միլսը «ԱՄՆ գործարար ճեպազրույց. Հայաստան» համաժողովի շրջանակներում: «Եղել են հարկ ային, մաքսային, մտավոր սեփականության իրավունքի պաշտպանության ոլորտի բարեփոխումներ:  Այդ ամենի արդյունքում ամերիկյան ընկերությունների կողմից մեծ ներդրումներ են կատարվել, այդ թվում` ցանկանում եմ նշել անցյալ տարի «Կոնտուր Գլոբալ»-ի կողմից «Որոտան» կասկադի ձեռքբերումը, որը ամերիկյան խոշորագույն ներդրումն է Հայաստանում»,-ասաց դեսպանը:

Նրա խոսքով` համաժողովին մասնակցող ընկերությունները նախկին խորհրդային միության երկրներում տնտեսավարելու փորձ ունեն և այսօր նրանց է ներկայացվում Հայաստանում գործունություն ծավալելու հնարավորությունները: «Ուզում եմ հստակ լինել ու ասել, որ այն ամերիկյան ընկերությունների համար, որոնք այստեղ գալիս են շրջահայաց կերպով, պատրաստված և ցանկանում են գործունեություն իրականացել, նրանց համար միշտ կան հնարավորություններ»,-հավելեց դեսպանը:

Անդրադառնալով նախկինում իր արած, ինչպես նաև նախորդ շաբաթ վարչապետ Հովիկ Աբրահամյանի հայտարարությանը կոռուպցիան վերացնելու վերաբերալ` Ռիչարդ Միլսը նշեց, որ ամերիկյան գործարարները պետք է հաշվի նստեն փաստի հետ, որ Հայաստանում այդ խնդիրն առկա է: Նա հավատացած է, որ ամերիկյան ընկերությունները կարող են ապացուցել, որ առանց կոռուպցիայի կարելի է հաջողությամբ տնտեսավարել: «Գործարար ոլորտում կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարի լավագույն տարբերակն այն  է, որ լինեն օրինակներ, թե ինչպես կարելի է առանց կոռուպցիայի հաջողությամբ տնտեսավարել: Ամերիկյ ան ընկերությունները կարող են ծառայել այդ օրինակը: Այսօր այստեղ հավաքվել են փորձառու ամերիկյան ընկերություններ, որոնց կասեմ, որ Հայաստանում ունեն գործընկերներ լրատվական դաշտում, կառավարությունում, գործարար աշխարհում, քաղաքացիական հասարակության շարքերում, որոնց հետ կարող են աշխատել կոռուպցիայի դեմ պայքարում և խաղի  հավասար պայմաններ ապահովելու ուղղությամբ»,-ընդգծեց Ռիչարդ Միլսը:
