Գաֆէսճեանում բացվեց Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի «Սասունցի Դավիթ» որմնաքանդակը

Գաֆէսճեան արվեստի կենտրոնում անցկացվեց քանդակագործ Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի հեղինակած «Սասունցի Դավիթ» որմնաքանդակի բացումը: Կասկադ համալիրի ճարտարապետական ժառանգության անբաժանելի մասը հանդիսացող մշակութային կոթողն իր ուրույն տեղը կգտնի համանուն սրահում:
«Ստեղծագործության հեղինակն այստեղ է: Շատ մեծ պատիվ է նրան տեսնել Գաֆէսճեան արվեստի կենտրոնում: Մենք շատ ուրախ ենք, որ կարողանում ենք ներկայացնել «Սասունցի Դավիթ» ստեղծագործությունը»,- արարողության ընթացքում տեղեկացրեց ԳԱԿ ցուցադրությունների գծով տնօրեն Արմեն Եսայանցը:
Նրա խոսքով` 1980-ականներին, երբ Կասկադը դեռ կառուցման փուլում էր, ճարտարապետ Ջիմ Թորոսյանը համալիրի սրահներից մեկը ձևավորելու առաջարկով դիմել է քանդակագործ Արտաշես Հովսեփյանին և արվեստագետը չորս տարի շարունակ աշխատել է այն սրահում, որն այսօր կրում է «Սասունցի Դավիթ» անունը: Չնայած 1988 թվականի Սպիտակի ավերիչ երկրաշարժից, ապա և Խորհրդային միության փլուզումից հետո տուֆակերտ այս որմնաքանդակն անավարտ է մնացել, այդուհանդերձ այն փոխանցում է ստեղծագործության մոնումենտալ հնչեղությունը:
Արձակագիր Վանուշ Շերմազանյանը Արտաշես Հովսեփյանի վաղեմի ընկերներից է: Փաստում է` Հովսեփյանը եզակի հանճար է: «Հունիսի 22-ին Արտաշես Հովսեփյանը դառնում է 85 տարեկան, այս սրահում հանդիպենք, միջոցառում կազմակերպենք»,-միջոցառման ժամանակ առաջարկեց արձակագիրը:
