Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին Բելգիայի խորհրդարանում նոր բանաձևի ընդունման պարագայում Թուրքիան սպառնացել է պատժամիջոցներ կիրառել այդ երկրի դեմ: Ինչպես հաղորդում է «Արմենպրես»-ը' վկայակոչելով թուրքական «Հաբերլեր» պարտվականը, այս մասին թուրքական հեռուստաալիքներից մեկին տված հարցազրույցում ասել է Թուրքիայի արտաքին գործերի նախարար Մևլութ Չավուշօղլուն:

Նա տեղեկացրել է, որ վերջերս Փարիզում հանդիպել է Բելգիայի իր գործընկերոջ' Դիդիեր Ռեյնդերսի հետ, ում ներկայացրել է նմանօրինակ բանաձևերի ընդունման ժամանակ թուրքական կողմից իր երկրի դեսպանին հետ կանչելու «ավանդույթը»: «Մենք աշխատում ենք պատժամիջոցների մշակման շուրջ: Այս մասին ես Ռեյնդերսին շատ բացահայտ ասել եմ»,- հայտնել է Չավուշօղլուն:

Նա անդրադարձել է նաև Բելգիայի կուսակցություններից մեկից ազգությամբ թուրք պատգամավոր Մահինուր Օզդեմիրի հեռացման փաստին, ով հրաժարվել էր ստորագրել Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին բանաձևի մասին փաստաթղթի տակ: «Հուսով եմ՝ կհաղթի խելամտությունը, և մենք ստիպված չենք լինի նմանօրինակ որոշումներ ընդունել, սակայն մտածում ենք վատագույն սցենարի մասին»,- հայտնել է Թուրքիայի արտգործնախարարը:

Բելգիայի խորհրդարանում «Ֆլամանդյան նոր դաշինք» կուսակցության նախաձեռնությամբ պատրաստվում է նոր բանաձև, որը կոչ է անելու կառավարությանը ճանաչելու Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը: Նշվում է, որ բանաձևի քննարկումները տեղի կունենան 2015 տարվա վերջին:

Բելգիայի խորհրդարանը Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչել էր 1998 թվականին Սենատի կողմից ընդունված համապատասխան բանաձևի միջոցով:
