Իրանական Press TV հեռուստաալիքի փոխանցմամբ` Իրանի ցամաքային զորքերի հրամանատար, բրիգադի գեներալ Ահմեդ Ռեզա Պուրդաստանը մայիսի 22-ին Սպահան նահանգում մեկնարկած «Բեյթ օլ Մողադդաս-28» զորավարժությունների ժամանակ հայտարարել է զինված ուժերն ամրապնդելու անհրաժեշտության մասին:
Պուրդաստանը հայտարարել է, որ Իրանը իր գլխավոր թշնամիներ է համարում ԱՄՆ-ին ու Իսրայելին: «Թշնամիները սպառնում են Իսլամական հանրապետության գոյատևմանը: Սակայն մենք երբեք թույլ չենք տա ոչնչացնել երկիրը` շնորհիվ մեր զինված ուժերի ամրապնդման ու մեծ մարտունակության:
Իրանի աճող ռազմական պոտենցիալն ԱՄՆ-ին հարկադրեց փոխել Իրանի հանդեպ նպատակներին հասնելու ռազմավարությունը` իսլամական ահաբեկչական խմբավորումներն ամրապնդելու ճանապարհով, որոնց ֆինանսապես աջակցում են նաև Մերձավոր Արևելքի մի շարք այլ երկրներ:
