ԱՄՆ-ը պետք Է պահպանի եւ կպահպանի ռազմական գերազանցությունը Ռուսաստանի եւ Չինաստանի նկատմամբ: Այս մասին, ինչպես տեղեկացնում Է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով ՌԻԱ Նովոստիին, մայիսի 24-ին հայտարարել Է Պենտագոնի ղեկավար Էշթոն Քարտերը:
«Անշուշտ, մենք ունենք մրցակիցներ, հուսով եմ, երբեք ագրեսորներ չեն լինի: Խոսքը վերաբերում Է այնպիսի երկրների, ինչպիսիք են Ռւսաստանը եւ Չինաստանը, որոնք ունեն հարաբերականորեն մեծ հնարավորություններ, եւ որոնց մենք գերազանցում ենք: Բայց մենք պետք Է առաջատարի դիրքում մնանք»,-հայտարարել Է Քարտերը՝ նշելով, որ դրանում զգալի դեր Է խաղում ԱՄՆ-ի ռազմածովային նավատորմը:
Պենտագոնի ղեկավարը վստահություն Է հայտնել, որ Միացյալ Նահանգներին կհաջողվի ռազմական գերակշռությունը պահպանել նաեւ ապագայում, սակայն դրա համար հարկավոր Է պայքարել: «Մենք միջոցներ ենք ներդնում այդ գործում, եւ այդպես կանենք այսուհետեւ Էլ: Մենք պետք Է լինենք ինովացիոն, տեխնոլոգիական եւ ունենանք իրոք լավ մարդիկ»,- հավելել Է նա:
