Անկախության սերունդը ճիշտ է հասկացել Մայիսի 28-ի պատգամը. Սերժ Սարգսյան

Մենք անկախության համար վճարել ենք այնքան, որքան թերեւս ոչ ոք չի վճարել: Այս մասին, այսօր՝ մայիսի 28-ին, Սարդարապատի հերոսամարտի հուշահամալիրում Հանրապետության տոնի առթիվ իր շնորհավորական ուղերձում նշել է ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
Նա, իր ուղերձում մասնավորապես, ասել է.
«Շնորհավորում եմ ձեզ Հանրապետության տոնի կապակցությամբ:
Այս տոնը մեզ համար առաջին հերթին փրկության տոն է: Մենք փրկեցինք մեր վերջին հողակտորը եւ այդ հողակտորի վրա մնացած մեր ժողովրդի վերջին բեկորները: Որքան էլ ծանր է խոստովանել, բայց դա էր իրականությունը:
Հուսահատության եւ արնաքամության եզրին կանգնած հայ ժողովուրդն իր մեջ ուժ գտավ մի վերջին գերբնական ճիգով կանգնելու թշնամու դեմ, հաղթելու եւ հետ շպրտելու նրան: Մայիսյան հերոսամարտերը եւ դրանց հաղթական ելքը շատերը զարմանալի հրաշք էին անվանում: Մենք հաղթեցինք, մենք ապրեցինք եւ մենք ազատագրվեցինք:
Մեր անկախությունն ու պետականությունը մեզ ոչ ոք չի նվիրել: Մենք դրա համար վճարել ենք այնքան, որքան թերեւս ոչ ոք չի վճարել: Մենք դա արել ենք մենակ, ավելին՝ մենք դա արել ենք ի հեճուկս ճակատագրի հարվածների:
Մայիսի 28-ով օտարի հպատակն ու գաղթականը դառնում էին պետության քաղաքացի: Դառնում էին մարդ, ով իր ոտքի տակ արդեն զգում էր ամուր հող, իսկ թիկունքում՝ պետություն: Պետություն, որի կառուցմանը պետք է լծվեր հենց ինքը: Պետություն, որին պետք է ծառայեր: Պետություն, որին պետք է պահանջներ ներկայացներ: Պետություն, որին պետք է քննադատեր՝ ավելի լավը դարձնելու ակնկալիքով: Պետություն, որ իր կիսամեռ ժողովրդից, որի գրեթե կեսն էլ որբեր էին, պիտի ստանար քաղաքական ազգ: Պիտի աճեցներ նոր սերունդ, վերածնված սերունդ, որ ունակ է գիտական, մշակութային եւ ռազմական նոր սխրանքներ գործել: Դա պետություն էր, որ կանխորոշեց Խորհրդային Հայաստանի եւ այսօրվա Հայաստանի Հանրապետության գոյությունը:
Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ,
Այս տարվա ապրիլի սկզբի ռազմական իրադարձություններն ավելի տեսանելի դարձրին մի շարք իրողություններ՝ թե՛ լավ, թե՛ վատ, թե՛ մեր ներսում, թե՛ մեր շուրջը: Դրանց մեջ ինձ համար ամենակարեւորը մեր նոր սերունդն է՝ անկախության սերունդը, որ եւ՛ մեզ, եւ՛ բոլորին ցույց տվեց, որ ինքն է իսկապես տերն ու պատասխանատուն իր երկրի: 1918 թվականին «Մայիսի 28» կերտողները կարող էին միայն երազել նման կանոնավոր բանակ եւ նման նոր սերունդ տեսնելու մասին: Մենք դա տեսանք:
Նոր Սարդարապատ չի լինելու, որովհետեւ մեծ հաշվով դա հուսահատական պատերազմ էր: Այնտեղ կռվողներն արդեն չգիտեին, թե ինչ երկրի քաղաքացի են, կամ քաղաքացի՞ են արդյոք: Նոր Սարդարապատ չի լինելու, որովհետեւ կա պետություն: Կա անկախության սերունդ, որ ուզում է քայլել ժամանակակից աշխարհին համընթաց եւ քայլելու է: Անկախության սերունդ, որ ուզում է քայլեցնել իր երկիրն առաջ եւ քայլեցնելու է: Անկախության սերունդ, որ բոլորից ճիշտ է հասկացել մայիսի 28-ի պատգամը: Դա արգասիքն է այն իրողության, որ նրանց ընտանիքներում ու դպրոցներում նույնպես ճիշտ են հասկացել մայիսի 28-ի պատգամը: Մենք՝ որպես պետություն, որպես ազգ եւ հասարակություն ճիշտ ենք հասկացել մայիսի 28-ի պատգամը:
Սիրելի՛ հայրենակիցներ,
Մայիսի 28-ը մեր ժողովրդի համար անդունդի եզրից հետ վերադառնելու օրն է: Դեպի կյանք, դեպի վերածնունդ, դեպի արարում եւ դեպի աշխատանք վերադառնալու օրն է: Մենք վերադարձել ենք:
