Հանրապետության տոնի կապակցությամբ ՀՀ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը նախագահական նստավայրում 2016 թվականի ընթացքում մարտական և ոչ մարտական պայմաններում զոհված զինծառայողների, կամավորների, աշխարհազորայինների և պահեստազորայինների ընտանիքների անդամներին հանձնեց Հայրենիքի առջև իրենց ծառայողական պարտքը կատարելիս անձնվիրաբար զոհված մերօրյա հերոսներին հետմահու շնորհված պետական բարձրագույն պարգևները:

«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ` ՀՀ Նախագահն իր խոսքում ընդգծեց, որ երախտապարտ սերունդները մշտապես հիշելու են նրանց, ինչպես մենք ենք այսօր հիշում գրեթե հարյուր տարի առաջ նահատակված քաջերին: «Որպես կանոն նման դեպքերում ես իմ խոսքը սկսում եմ «Սիրելի պարգևատրվողներ» արտահայտությամբ: Բայց այսօր առանձնահատուկ դեպք է: Մեր սիրելի և ամենթանկ պարգևատրվողները մեզ հետ չեն: Նրանք պարգևատրվում են հետմահու: Պիտի խոստովանեմ, որ հոգեբանորեն սա ամենածանր պարտականություններից է, որ ես պարբերաբար կատարում եմ »,- ասաց Սերժ Սարգսյանը:

Նրա խոսքով` մեր հերոս որդիներն ու եղբայրներն ընկան հանուն իրենց հարազատների, հանուն մեզ բոլորիս, հանուն Հայաստանի և հայության խաղաղ ու հավերժ ընթացքի: Սերժ Սարգսյանն ընդգծեց, որ ճակատագրական պահին նրանք կատարեցին իրենց ընտրությունը: «Նրանք ընտրեցին ազատությունն ու արժանապատվությունը: Նրանցից շատերը երիտասարդ էին, շատ երիտասարդ: Բայց նրանց ընտրությունն ու վարքը հասուն էին այնքան, որ ավելի հասուն դարձրեցին մի ամբողջ հասարակություն: Նրանք մի քանի օրում աշակերտից դարձան ուսուցիչներ և դարձան հայոց անկախության նոր սերնդի ջահակիր ներ: Նրանք սահմանեցին բարոյական այնպիսի բարձրագույն նշաձող, որ այսուհետ անհնար է լինելու շրջանցել»,- նշեց Հանրապետության Նախագահը:

Սերժ Սարգսյանի խոսքով` նրանք իրենց կյանքով ու սխրանքով մարմնավորում են Հայաստանի քաղաքացու և հայ զինվորի պատվի վարքականոնը, որ այսուհետ անհնար է լինելու շրջանցել, որովհետև նրանք ներկա են այստեղ, ներկա են մեր մեջ և մեր շուրջը: «Ավելի ներկա են և ավելի մեծ գործ են անում, քան առանձին «ներկա» ստացողներ: Այդ պատճառով էլ թույլ տվեք, այնուամենայնիվ, դիմել նրանց և ասել.

Սիրելի պարգևատրվողներ,

Շնորհավորում եմ ձեզ հայրենիքի բարձր պարգևներին արժանանալու առթիվ: Նաև շնորհավորում եմ ձեզ Հանրապետության տոնի կապակցությամբ: 1918 թվականի հերոսամարտերում ընկան ձեզ նման քաջեր, որպեսզի հայությունը ապրի, որպեսզի Հայաստանը լինի: Եվ Հայաստանը կայացավ: Մեզ համար դուք նույն Սարդարապատի, Բաշ-Ապարանի, Ղարաքիլիսայի հերոսներն եք: Հարյուր տարի հետո էլ երախտապարտ սերունդները ձեզ հիշելու են, ինչպես մենք այսօր հիշում գրեթե 100 տարի առաջ նահատակված քաջերին:

Սիրելի պարգևատրվողներ,

Ննջեք խաղաղությամբ և հաստատ իմացեք, որ մենք ձեզնով ենք ազգ, ձեզնով ենք երկիր և նույնիսկ ձեզնով ենք մարդ: Դա գիտակցում է և չի մոռանալու մեր ժողովրդի յուրաքանչյուր սերունդ: Դուք մեզ թողեցիք մեծ ցավ, բայց նաև մեծ հպարտություն և պատգամ: Մենք խոնարհվում ենք ձեր արածի առջև և խոստանում ենք, որ ձեր չարած բարի գործերը մենք անելու ենք կրկնապատկված եռանդով»,- ասաց Սերժ Սարգսյանը:
