Բունդեսթագի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչումով Գերմանիան կոչ է անում թուրքական կողմին հաշտեցման և ճանաչման ճանապարհին անել առաջին բարդ քայլը: Այս մասին Բունդեսթագում Հայոց ցեղասպանության մասին բանաձևի քննարկան ժամանակ իր ելույթում ասաց Քրիստոնեադեմոկրատական միության պատգամավոր Ալբերտ Վայլերը:

«Օսմանյան կայսրությունում հայերի ու մյուս քրիստոնյաների նկատմամբ տեղի ունեցածն ինձ շատ է հուզում: Մենք պատմական պատասխանատվություն ունենք երիտթուրքերի դաժանություններն անվանել իրենց անունով` Ցեղասպանություն»,- նշեց Վայլերը: Նա ընդգծեց, որ Հայոց ցեղասպանության բանաձևը Բունդեսթագի բոլոր խմբակցությունների համատեղ նախաձեռնությունն է և իրենցից ոչ ոք կասկածի տակ չի առնում պատմական այս իրողությունը:

«Որպես մարտահրավեր կա ու կմնա Թուրքիայի կողմից այս փաստի ճանաչումն ու ընդունումը, դրան ազնիվ ու բաց անդրադարձը: Մինչ օրս Թուրքիայի կառավարությունը դիրքորոշում չի որդեգրել այն անարդարության հանդեպ, որը տեղի է ունեցել հայերի նկատմամբ: Այս նախաձեռնությամբ մենք ուզում ենք բացել այն ճանապարհը, որով կընդունենք մեր համատեղ մեղքը, քանի որ առանց դրա հաշտեցում չի լինի: Ցեղասպանության ճանաչումն այլ ցեղասպանությունները կանխելու ճանապարհն է և այն հարգանքի տուրքը, որը պետք է մատուցել Ցեղասպանության զոհերի միլիոնավոր ժառանգերին: Այս չափի տառապանքը չի կարելի մոռացության մատնել: 21-րդ դարում մենք գիտակցում ենք, որ դա մեր համատեղ եվրոպական անցյալի հարցն է, այն բոլորիս է առնչվում, սակայն մենք ուզում ենք առաջ գնալ, մենք ուզում ենք, որ հայերն ու թուրքերն ապրեն այն, ինչ մենք` գերմանացիներս, ուզում ենք, որ թուրքերն էլ հայերից ստանան այն, ինչ մենք ենք ստացել, ներում»,- ասաց պատգամավորը` նշելով, որ թեպետ գործընթացը բարդ է ու ցավոտ, սակայն առանց այդ անդրադարձի, առանց վերարժևորման, ոչնիչ չէր լինի:

«Ուրախալի է, որ այսօրվա Թուրքիայում մարդիկ կան, ում նպատակն է հայերի հանդեպ կատարվածը ճանաչել ու դրա հետ հաշտվել: Մեր հայտով ուզում ենք աջակցություն ցուցաբերել այդ քաջ և արի տղամարդկանց և կանանց: Մենք համատեղ կաշտատենք այն ուղղությամբ, որ Օսմանյան կայսրությունում տեղի ունեցածը Թուրքիայի կառավարության կողմից վերաիմաստավորվի օգուտ հայերի ու թուրքերի` ի նպաստ համատեղ ու խաղաղ կեցության այս տարածաշրջանում»,- նման կերպ իր խոսքը եզրափակեց Վայլերը:
