Օգոստոսի 7-ից 8-ը ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը ՀՀ ԶՈւ ԳՇ պետի տեղակալ գեներալ-լեյտենանտ Հայկազ Բաղմանյանի, 3-րդ բանակային զորամիավորման հրամանատար գեներալ-մայոր Օնիկ Գասպարյանի եւ բարձրաստիճան այլ զինվորականների ուղեկցությամբ հերթական շրջայնցն է կատարել հանրապետության հյուսիսարեւելյան սահմանագոտում:

Սահմանագոտում տեղակայված զորամասերում պաշտպանական գերատեսչության ղեկավարը տեղում ծանոթացել է ծառայության կազմակերպմանը, զինծառայողների մարտական ու մասնագիտական պատրաստությանը, սոցիալ-կենցաղային պայմաններին եւ  իրականացվող շինարարական աշխատանքներին: Ստուգվել է նաեւ զորամասերի զինվորական ճաշարանների շենքային եւ սանիտարահիգիենիկ վիճակը, զինծառայողների սննդի որակն ու չափաբաժինները:

Պաշտպանության նախարար Սեյրան Օհանյանը եղել է նաեւ մարտական հենակետերում, տեղում ծանոթացել է ամրաշինական եւ ինժեներական կառույցների հուսալիությանը, ստուգել է մարտական հերթապահություն իրականացնող զինծառայողների պարտականությունների իմացությունը, շրջել է խրամատներում եւ կատարել է սահմանագծի դիտարկում: Ծառայության մեջ աչքի ընկած եւ իրենց պարտականություններին լավագույնս տիրապետող զինծառայողներին Սեյրան Օհանյանը խրախուսական նվերներ է հանձնել:

Հյուսիսարեւելյան սահմանագոտի կատարած այցի շրջանակում զորամիավորման եւ զորամասերի հրամկազմի հետ քննարկվել են մարտական պատրաստությանը, առաջնագծում առկա իրավիճակին, զինծառայողների կենցաղային պայմաններին եւ ընթացող շինարարական աշխատանքներին առնչվող մի շարք հարցեր: Սեյրան Օհանյանը հրամկազմին տվել է համապատասխան ցուցումներ եւ հանձնարարականներ` ընթացող աշխատանքներն ըստ սահմանված ժամանակացույցի եւ առավել արդյունավետ իրականացնելու ուղղությամբ:

Բանակային զորամիավորման ենթակա ստորաբաժանումներից մեկում պաշտպանության նախարարը զրուցել է նաեւ նորակոչիկների հետ: Ողջունելով եւ խաղաղ ծառայություն մաղթելով նրանց՝ Սեյրան Օհանյանը  կարեւորել է զինվորական ծառայությունը յուրաքանչյուր հայ երիտասարդի համար՝ ինչպես հայրենիքի հանդեպ պարտքը կատարելու, այնպես էլ բարոյակամային հատկանիշներ ձեռք բերելու տեսանկյունից:

Հերթական շրջայցի ընթացքում ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարը հանդիպել է նաեւ սահմանամերձ մի շարք համայնքների ղեկավարների եւ բնակիչների հետ: Ծանոթանալով նրանց խնդիրներին ու մտահոգություններին` Սեյրան Օհանյանը վստահեցրել է, որ պետական սահմանի պահպանությունը հուսալի ձեռքերում է եւ արվում է ամեն ինչ խաղաղ բնակչության առօրյան առավել անվտանգ դարձնելու ուղղությամբ:
