Ուշ թե շուտ միջազգային քաղաքականության բոլոր դերակատարները պետք է ճանաչեն Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը, եթե ուզում են, որ նոր ցեղասպանություններ չկրկնվեն: ՀՀԿ ԳՄ նիստից հետո այս մասին ասաց ՀՀԿ խոսնակ, ԱԺ փոխնախագահ Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը՝ անդրադառնալով գերմանական Բունդեսթագի կողմից Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը ճանաչող և դատապարտող բանաձևի ընդունմանը:«Բունդեսթագի բանաձևի ընդունումը նոր դռներ է բացում դեպի նոր ճանաչումներ, դռ ներ է փակում դեպի ժխտողականություն, նորանոր հանցագործություններ մարդկության նկատմամբ: Դժբախտաբար, Թուրքիայի ղեկավարությունը պատրաստ չէ առերեսվել սեփական պատմության հետ»,- «Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ ընդգծեց Շարմազանովը:

Շարմազանովը հավելեց, որ հեռախոսազրույց է ունեցել Բունդեսթագի փոխնախագահ տիկին Բուլմանի հետ: «Ես բարձր եմ գնահատել գերմանացի պատգամավորների նման դիրքորոշումը, ևս մեկ անգամ վերահաստատել եմ, որ առանցքայինն այն է, որ մի պետություն, որն առաջին աշխարհամարտում եղել է Թուրքիայի դաշնակիցը, ճանաչեց Հայոց ցեղասպանությունը»,- ասաց Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը:

Դիտարկմանը, թե հայ-թուրքական հարաբերություններն ավելի կվատանան, Էդուարդ Շարմազանովը նշեց, որ Հայաստանի Հանրապետության կարծիքը հստակ է՝ հայ-թուրքական արձանագրությունները պատմության խորքային պահոց  է մտցրել Թուրքիայի պատճառով: «Թուրքիան է հանդես եկել նախապայմաններով, ուստի, հաշտեցման համար հենց Թուրքիան պետք է քայլեր կատարի: Սակայն, ԱԺ փոխնախագահի խոսքով, Թուրքիան հետ քայլ է կատարում, ավելին՝ հետ է կանչում Գերմանիայից Թուրքիայի դեսպանին, շարունակվում են շանտաժները Բունդեսթագի պատգամավորների հետ, որովհետև Թուրքիայի քաղաք ական վերնախավը պատրաստ չէ առերեսվել պատմության հետ, գրեթե ոչինչ չի սովորել: Խնդիրը Թուրքիայի մեջ է: Պատասխանատուն Թուրքիան է՝ իր քաղաքական իշխանության հետ միասին»,- եզրափակեց Շարմազանովը:

Գերմանիայի Բունդեսթագն ընդունեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության ճանաչման բանաձևը, որն ունի «1915 թ. հայերի և մյուս քրիստոնյա փոքրամասնությունների ցեղասպանության հիշատակի և ոգեկոչման մասին» անվանումը: Բանաձևն ընդունվեց ունենալով ընդամենը մեկ դեմ, մեկ ձեռնպահ ձայն:  Ելույթ ունեցողները միաձայն ընդգծում էին անցյալի հետ առերեսման անհրաժեշտությունը, նաև` Հայաստանի և Թուրքիայի հաշտեցման գործընթացին նպաստելու մղումները:Բունդեսթագում բարձրաձայնվել է Օսմանյան Թուրքիայի ոճրագործության մասին` նշելով, որ Գերմանիայի քայլը ոչ թե հայց է և մեադրանք, այլ խոնարհում զոհերի հիշատակի առջև:
