Նոր Զելանդիայի գիտնականները բույսերում դառը նյութ են հայտնաբերել, որը կարող է մարդկանց օգնել` ազատվելու ավելորդ քաշից: Այդ նյութը հագեցածության զգացում է առաջացնում եւ մարդը կարող է զգալիորեն պակաս ուտել եւ հեշտորեն նիհարել:
Բուսական եւ սննդային հետազոտությունների նորզելանդական ինստիտուտի գիտնականները ստուգել են ավելի քան 900 բուսական խտանյութ եւ չափազանց դաղը եւ կալորիաներ չպարունակող բաղադրիչներ են հայտնաբերել, որոնք աղիներին ստիպում են հատկապես մեծ քանակությամբ CCK, GLP-1 եւ PYY հորմոններ արտազատել, որոնք վերահսկում են հագեցածության զգացումը:
Այս նյութի հիման վրա դիետիկ հաբերը կարող են վաճառքում հայտնվել արդեն երեք տարի անց: Գիտնականներն առայժմ չեն հայտնում, թե ճշգրիտ ինչ բույս է պարունակում այդ նյութը, բայց հայտնի է, որ դրանից ստացված դեղահաբը դառը համ կունենա:
Գիտնականներն արդեն վաղուց նկատել էին, որ դառնահամ սնունդը նպաստում է հագեցածության հորմոնների արտադրությանը: Կարծիք կա, թե դա գոյատեւման հին մեխանիզմ է, որը ստեղծված է այն բանի համար, որ մարդը թունավոր բույսեր չօգտագործի:
Նոր դիետիկ սննդակարգի կլինիկական փորձարկումներին 19 առողջ տղամարդ է մասնակցել, որոնք կամ հենց հավելումն են ընդունել, կամ պլացեբոն շվեդական սեղանի համակարգով նախաճաշից առաջ, որից երկու ժամ անց նախուտեստ են մատուցել: Դեղահաբ ստացած կամավորները նախաճաշից հետո իրենց ավելի կուշտ չեն զգացել, սակայն անհամեմատ ավելի քիչ են կերել: Անալիզը ցույց է տվել, որ մարդիկ միջինը 220 կալորիա պակաս են օգտագործել, ինչը համարժեք է շոկոլադե սալիկի կամ կես լիտր գարեջրի:
