Նիգերիայի իշխանությունները հակակոռուպցիոն քաղաքականության շրջանակում կարողացել են վերադարձնել մոտ 9,1 մլրդ գողացված դոլար, շաբաթ օրը հայտնում է Ռոյթրզ գործակալությունը` վկայակոչելով երկրի մշակույթի եւ տեղեկատվության նախարարությանը, հայտնում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստին»:
«Այդ բոլոր գումարները վերադարձվել են այն անձանց եւ ձեռնարկությունների հաշիվներից, որոնք կամ թաքցրել, գողացել եւ օգտագործում էին, կամ տնօրնում էին ժողովրդին պատկանող փողը», — նախարարության հատուկ խորհրդական Սեգուն Ադեիեմիին է մեջբերում գործակալությունը:
Սակայն նա չի նշել կոնկրետ կազմակերպությունների եւ անձանց, որոնք անօրինականորեն յուրացրել էին կամ էլ չէին կարողացել ժամանակին վճարել հարկերը: Նշված գումարը վերադարձվել է Մուհամմադ Բուխարիի` նախագահի պաշտոնն արդեն մեկ տարի զբաղեցնելու ընթացքում, նշում են նախարարությունից:
Նիգերիայի կառավարությունը անցյալ տարի ընտրված նախագահ Մուհամմադ Բուխարիի հրահանգով հակակոռուպցիոն ակտիվ քաղաքականություն է սկսել: Իշխանությունները կոռուպցիայի դեպքերի հետաքննություն են անցկացնում, որոնց մեջ կարող էին ներքաշված լինել իշխանության ներկայացուցիչներ: Բացի այդ, 2011-ից 2015 թվականների ընթացքում ռազմական շփումներին վերաբերող աուդիտ է իրականացվել: Մարտի վերջին Նիգերիայի իշխանությունները կոռուպցիայի համար մեղադրել են մոտ 300 ընկերության եւ մասնավոր անձի, որոնք մասնակցել են պաշտպանության ոլորտում թալանի:
Գործակալության տեղեկության համաձայն, Նիգերիայի իշխանությունները մտադիր են նաեւ վերականգնել ավելի քան 320 մլն դոլար իրենց քաղաքացիների հաշիվներից Շվեյցարիայում, Մեծ Բրիտանիայում եւ Արաբական Միացյալ Էմիրություններում:
