Գերմանիայի կանցլեր Անգելա Մերկելը կողմ է Եվրամիության եւ Ռուսաստանի միջեւ միասնական տնտեսական գոտու ստեղծմանը: Այս մասին նա ասել է Մակլենբերգ Առաջավոր Պոմերանիա դաշնային հողի ՔԴՄ/ՔՍՄ միության համագումարի ժամանակ, փոխանցում է Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung-ը:
«Ես կողմ եմ, որ Ռուսաստանն աստիճանաբար մոտենա եվրոպական տարածքին, որպեսզի մենք, ի վերջո, ընդհանուր տնտեսական գոտի ունենանք Վլադիվոստոկից մինչեւ Լիսաբոն»,- ասել է կանցլերը:
Ընդ որում, նա նշել է, որ Ուկրաինայի արեւելքում Ռուսաստանի աջակցությամբ քաղաքացիական պատերազմ է ընթանում, ինչի կապակցությամբ էլ ի սկզբանե ընդունվել են հակառուսական պատժամիջոցները:
Մերկելի խոսքով՝ Գերմանիան ու Ֆրանսիան հիմա ձգտում են Ուկրաինայի հարավ-արեւելքում հասնել հրադադարի լիակատար հաստատման եւ տեղական ընտրությունների անցկացման: Ընդ որում, ընտրությունների մասին օրենքնի ընդունումն ու դրանց ամսաթվի նշանակումը նախապայմաններ կլինեն Լուգանսկին եւ Դոնեցկին հատուկ կարգավիճակ տալու համար, նշել է Մերկելը:
Դրանից զատ, Ուկրաինան պետք է հասանելիություն ունենա դեպի Ռուսաստանի հետ իր սահման: «Եթե դա արվի, մենք ա նմիջապես կչեղարկենք պատժամիջոցները»,- ասել է կանցլերը:
