ԱՄՆ-ի նախկին պետքարտուղար Հիլարի Քլինթոնն անհրաժեշտ թվով պատվիրակներ Է ապահովել Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի թեկնածու առաջադրվելու համար:Հունիսի 6-ին այս մասին հայտնել Է Associated Press (AP) գործակալությունը՝ վկայակոչելով սեփական հաշվա րկները:
AP-ի տվյալներով՝ դեմոկրատն այս պահին իր համար կանխապահովել Է 2 383 քվեատուների պաշտպանությունը. հենց այս թվով պատվիրակներ են անհրաժեշտ դեմոկրատների համագումարում կուսակցությունից որպես նախագահի պաշտոնական թեկնածու առաջադրվելու համար: Այսպիսով, դեմոկրատական նախնական ընտրությունների փուլը, որը կկայանա հունիսի 7-ին, Քլինթոնի համար կդառնա զուտ ձեւականություն:
Դեմոկրատների նախնական ընտրություններ կանցկացվեն Կալիֆոռնիայում, Մոնտանայում, Նյու Ջերսիում, Նյու Մեքսիկոյում եւ Հարավային Դակոտայում, իսկ Հյուսիսային Դակոտայում կկայանան կուսակտիվի ժողովներ (քոկուսներ): 781 քվեների համար նախկին առաջին տիկնոջ մրցակիցն այժմ արդեն ձեւական պայքարում մնում Է Վերմոնտի նահանգից սենատոր Բեռնի Սանդերսը, հաղորդել Է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
