Ապրիլյան քառօրյա պատերազմից հետո ոչ միայն թշնամին, այլ նաև մեծ տերությունները հասկացան, որ երկրի համար դժվարին ժամանակներում էլ հայ ժողովուրդը պատրաստ է ապավինել սեփական ուժերին՝ չհաշտվելով արցախյան հիմնահարցի կարգավորման այն տարբերակին, որը մեզ համար կբերի սեփական հողի կորստի: Ազգային ժողովում հայտարարությունների ժամին այս մասին ասաց ԲՀԿ խմբակցության պատգամավոր Ռուբեն Գևորգյանը: «Ապրիլյան պատերազմը մենք հաղթեցիք, փառք մեր զինվորին, փառք տղերքին, փառք մեր բանակին: Բայց ցավալին այն է, որ ոմանք չեն ցանկանում ընդունել այդ հաղթանակը և ամեն տեղ բարձրաձայնում են կորցրած մի քանի դիրքերի և 800 հեկտար տարածքի մասին: Ինչ խոսք, մեզ համար անգամ մի փոքր հողակտորն էլ նույն արյան գաղափարի մեջ է ընկալվում, ինչպես մեր ողջ հայրենիքը: Բայց եթե դրանով անհանգստացողների համար պատերազմն ավարտված է, մեզ համար՝ ոչ: Ուրեմն հանգիստ մնացեք»,-«Արմենպրես»-ի հաղորդմամբ՝ նշեց Գևորգյանը:

Պատգամավորի խոսքով հաղթանակը միայն վայելք չէ, այն պետք է նախ հասկանալ, իսկ հասկացողները նրանք են, ովքեր դրա մեջ են, ովքեր կռվում են ու ընկնում: «Ապրիլյան պատերազմի հաղթանակի դափնիները մեր զինվորներինն են, իսկ մենք՝ 90-ականներին կռվածներս, մնացած բոլոր կամավորականների հետ բռունցք դարձած, կարողացանք աշխարհին ասել, որ հայ ժողովուրդը դառնում է իր երկրի մարտիկը՝ իր մեջ արթնացնելով հայրենիքի համար զոհվելու գաղափարը: Դա արդեն իսկ սարսափ է թշնամու համար, քանի որ հենց ինքը՝ թշնամին, համոզվեց, որ պատերազմը միայն զենքի կռիվ չէ: Եվ ոչ միայն թշնամ ու, այլ գերտերությունների համար տեսանելի եղավ, որ լուսավոր մեր ժողովրդի համար ամենամեծ արժեքը հայրենի հողն է»,- ասաց պատգամավորը:

Նրա խոսքով՝ այսօր ամենակարևոր խնդիրն Արցախի սահմանների պաշտպանությունն է: «Այսօր մեր երկրի միակ հույսը մենք պետք է լինենք մեր հավաքական ուժով և մեր մարտունակ բանակով: Եվ փառք մեր ժողովրդին, որ ամենադժվար կացությունն էլ չի կարող պատճառ դառնալ, որպեսզի շեղի նրան այդ գիտակցումից»,- եզրափակեց Գևորգյանը:
