Նա գրել է, որ արդեն որերորդ օրն է՝ բազմաթիվ նամակներ է ստանում այդ առիթով։

«Երեկ չէ առաջին օրը ես շնորհավորեցի մուսուլմաններին իրենց սուրբ ամսի՝ Ռամադանի կապակցությամբ եւ սարսափեցի մարդկանց արձագանքից։
Ամեն տարի նույն բանն է եւ ամեն տարի ես միեւնույնն է վարելու եմ իմ նույն քաղաքականությունը, ինչպես միշտ ամեն հարցում։ Մայրս վիճում է հետս. «Ինչու ես բարձաձայնում այդ մասին, գիտես մարդկանց արձագանքը, հետո ինքդ էլ նյարդայնանում ես»։ Մայրիկ, ինչ-որ տեղ ճիշտ ես, սակայն մենք տարբեր բնավորություն ունենք, նա թեւեր ունի, իսկ ես՝ կոտոշներ։ Չի գա այն օրը, երբ ես չեմ անի կամ չեմ ասի ինչ որ բան, որովհետեւ ինձ կանհանգստացնի, թե ինչ են այդ մասին մտածում մյուսները։ Ես լիարժեք անհատականություն եմ, ով ունի իր հաստատուն կարծիքն այս կամ այն հարցի շուրջ։ Դուր չի՞ գալիս. վարդերի թերթիկներով սփռված կարմիր գորգը ձեզ։ Դուք ընդհանրապես ադեկվա՞տ եք։ Ինչու՞ եք որեւէ կրոն դասում վերեւ կամ ներքեւ եւ համարձակվում ինձ դժգոհել։ Այն, որ ծնվել եք այս կամ այն կրոնի ուսմունքը դավանելով՝ ձեզ իրավունք չի տալիս դա լավը համարել, ընդհանրապես, ինչպես կարելի է կրոնը լավ կամ վատը համարել…

Ես քրիստոնյա եմ եւ ունեմ բազում մուսուլման ծանոթներ։ Ավելին ասեմ՝ իմ տղամարդը մուսուլման է։ Հիմա ինչ, եթե ես քրիստոնյա եմ, ուրեմն պետք է ատե՞մ այլ դավանանք ունեցողներին եւ ստորացնե՞մ դրանց հետեւորդներին։
Ավելի շատ ադեկվատություն, պարոնայք, 21 դարն է! Բոլոր կրոններում էլ կան մարդասպաններ, գողեր, բռնաբարներ եւ անգամ սվինգերներ…
Դուք ինձ չպետք է ասեք՝ ում շնորհավորեմ, սովորեցնել՝ թե ում սիրեմ, ում հետ շփվեմ։ Եթե դուք ձեր հայացքներում սահմանափակ եք, գնացեք ձեր կողմնակիցների հետ եւ միասին բամբուկ ծխեք»,- գրել է Եվա Ռիվասը։
