Վերջին շրջանում սահմաններին տեղի ունեցած զարգացումներն առիթ հանդիսացան, որ հայ ժողովուրդն ի ցույց դներ իր կենսական հիանալի որակները: Հատկապես շատ էր խոսվում համախմբվածության մասին ու այդ առիթով կուզեի ներկայացնել իմ՝ տարիներ առաջ արած եզրակացություններից մի քանիսը. հայ ժողովուրդը և հայ էլիտան առհասարակ համախմբված են և դա կապված չէ միայն պատերազմական իրավիճակների հետ, այլ այդ հատկանիշը պատմության ողջ ընթացքում ուղեկցել է հայ պետականությանն ու ժողովրդին :
Հետաքրքրական է այն փաստը, որ այդ միտումների ակունքները մենք տեսնում ենք դեռևս շատ հին ժամանակներում, երբ հայոց պետականությունը դեռ նոր-նոր էր հաստատվում ու կազմավորվում: Օրինակ՝ սեպագիր արձանագրություններում որևէ տեղեկատվություն չկա այն մասին, որ Վանի թագավորության շրջանում էլիտայի ներսում գոյություն են ունեցել տարաձայնություններ ու արքունի դավադրություններ: Սա շատ կարևոր հանգամանք է:
Մինչդեռ նույն շրջանում Ասորեստանի վերնախավի ներկայացուցիչները միմյանց նկատմամբ շատ հաճախ են դավեր նյութել: Մեզ այդ տեղեկությունները շատ հստակ փոխանցում են մ.թ.ա. առաջին հազարամյակի առաջին կեսի աղբյուրները: Ասորեստանում ներքին խռովություններ ու երկպառակություններ են տեղի ունեցել մ.թ.ա. 827-822, 772-758, 746-745 թվականներին, որոնց բնորոշ գծերից է եղել նաև միջդասային պայքարն ու ներարքունական խարդավանքները:
Նշեմ, որ խոսքը ստրուկների ապստամբության մասին չէ: Խոսքը էլիտայի ներսում տեղի ունեցող գործընթացների մասին է: Ուրարտուի ու Ասորեստանի պետական ապարատներում եղել են էական տարբերություններ: Վանի թագավորությունում չենք տեսնում ընդհարումներ ղեկավար օղակների ներկայացուցիչների միջև, մինչդեռ Ասորեստանում շատ հաճախ առկա է եղել լարված մթնոլորտ: Ըստ որում, գոյություն է ունեցել սուր անհամաձայնություն տարբեր դասերի միջև: Վանի թագավորությունում ձևավորված է եղել քաղաքական ու սոցիալ-տնտեսական ավանդույթ, որին հետևել են բոլոր սոցիալական շերտերը:
Իսկ ստրուկների ապստամբություններ կամ նվաճված երկրների ապստամբություններ բնականաբար տեղի են ունեցել այդ շրջանի բոլոր պետություններում: Այս առումով էլ՝ Ասորեստանում ապստամբությունները կրել են մասշտաբային բնույթ, անջատվել են ամբողջական պետական, էթնիկ միավորներ, իսկ Վանի թագավորությունում այն կրել է տեղային բնույթ: Եվ ապստամբել են այն ցեղերը կամ ցեղախմբերը, որոնք դեռևս հայկական միասնական ազգային միավորի մաս չէին կազմել:
