 ՆԱՏՕ-ն կարող Է  փոխադարձ հետաքրքրություն ներկայացնող հարցերի շուրջը Ռուսաստանի հետ գործնական համագործակցության վերադառնալ միայն Ուկրաինայի հակամարտության լուծումից հետո: Այդ մասին ՌԻԱ Նովոստիին հայտարարել Է դաշինքի նախկին գլխավոր քարտուղար, Ուկրաինայի նախագահի խոր հրդական Անդերս Ֆոգ Ռասմուսենը:   

«Կան հարցեր, որոնք ավելի արդյունավետ Է լուծել ՆԱՏՕ-ի եւ Ռուսաստանի միջեւ համագործակցությամբ: Դուք նշեցիք դրանցից մի քանիսը. Աֆղանստան, պայքար ահաբեկչության դեմ, ինչպես նաեւ Սիրիա եւ Իրաք, պայքար «Իսլամական պետության» դեմ եւ այլն: Բայց մենք պետք Է նաեւ հասկանանք, որ ամեն ինչ սկսվեց Ուկրաինայի դեմ Ռուսաստանի ագրեսիայի պատճառով: Անկարելի Է գործերը նախկինի պես վարել, քանի դեռ Ռուսաստանը կշարունակի ապակայունացնել Ուկրաինայի արեւելքը: Սա Է մեր խնդիրը»,- ասել Է Ռասմուսենը:      

Նա  վերստին հիշեցրել Է դաշինքի դիրքորոշումն ուկրաինական հակամարտությանը Ռուսաստանի մասնակցության մասին:

«Ես հանդես եմ գալիս այն բանի օգտին, որ Ռուսաստանն, ըստ Մինսկի համաձայնությունների՝ դուրս գա արեւելյան Ուկրաինայից, եւ Ռուսաստանի եւ Ուկրաինայի միջեւ վերականգնվի սահմանային վերահսկողությունը, որպեսզի ուկրաինացիներն ստանան սահմանի նկատմամբ հսկողությունը: Այդժամ մենք կկարողանանք խոսել այդ գործողությունների վերսկսման մասին:  Քանի դեռ Ռուսաստանը փորձում Է սառեցված հակամարտություն ստեղծել Ուկրաինայի արեւելքում, դա շատ դժվար կլինի»,- հայտարարել Է ՆԱՏՕ-ի նախկին գլխավոր քարտուղարը:
