Գիտեի՞ք, որ եթե Դուք կանաչ աչքեր ունեք, իսկ Ձեր զուգընկերը` շագանակագույն, ձեր երեխան լիովին կարող է կապտաչյա ծնվել:
My Child Magazine Australia-ի նոր տեսահոլովակում պատմվում է, թե ինչպիսին է հավանականությունը, որ Ձեր երեխայի աչքերը այս կամ այն գույնի կլինեն: Օրինակ, եթե Դուք կանաչ աչքեր ունեք, իսկ Ձեր զուգընկերը` շագանակագույն, ձեր երեխան 50 տոկոս հավանականությամբ կժառանգի շագանակագույն աչքերը, 38 տոկոս հավանականությամբ` կանաչը եւ 12 տոկոս հավանականությամբ` կապույտը:
Իսկ եթե երկու ծնողն էլ կանաչ աչքեր ունեն, նրանց երեխան 75 տոկոս հավանականությամբ կանաչ աչքեր կունենա: Բայց նաեւ 24 տոկոս շանս կա, որ նրա աչքերը կապույտ կլինեն եւ 1 տոկոս շանս, որ շագանակագույն կլինեն:
Աչքերի որոշ գույներ, գիտնականների խոսքով, դոմինանտ են մյուսների նկատմամբ. օրինակ, շագանակագույն աչքերը դոմինանտ են կանաչի եւ կապույտի նկատմամբ, իսկ կանաչները իրենց հերթին դոմինանտ են կապույտների նկատմամբ: Դա նշանակում է, որ շագանակագույն կամ կանաչ աչքերը ժառանգելու շանսն ավելի մեծ է, քան կապույտները:
