ՄԱԿ-ը մտադիր Է աշխարհում ավելի քան եռակի նվազեցնել ՄԻԱՎ-ով վարակման դեպքերը

ՄԱԿ-ը նպատակ Է դրել ավելի քան երեք անգամ կրճատել մարդու իմունային անբավարարության վիրուսով (ՄԻԱՎ) վարակման նոր դեպքերի քանակը եւ զգալիորեն նվազեցնել ձեռքբերովի իմունային անբավարարության համախտանիշից (ՁԻԱՀ) մահացությունը:
Քաղաքական հռչակագիրը ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ի դեմ պայքարի բարձր մակարդակի նստաշրջանի առաջին օրն առանց քվեարկության ընդունվել Է ՄԱԿ-ի Գլխավոր ասամբլեայի բոլոր 193 անդամների կողմից: Փաստաթուղթը նպատակ Է հռչակում մինչեւ 2020 թվականը ՄԻԱՎ-ով վարակման նոր դեպքերի քանակի նվազեցումը, ՁԻԱՀ-ից մահերի թվի կրճատումը եւ ՄԻԱՎ-ով ախտահարված մարդկանց նկատմամբ խտրականության բացառումը:
ՄԱԿ-ի տվյալներով՝2015 թվականին ՄԻԱՎ-ով վարակման նոր դեպքերի քանակը տատանվել Է 1,8 միլիոնից մինչեւ 2,1 միլիոն: Ընդունված հռչակագրի համաձայն՝ հաջորդ հինգ տարվա ընթացքում այս թիվը պետք Է կազմի 500 հազարից քիչ: ՁԻԱՀ-ի հետ կապված հիվանդություններից մահացությունը պետք Է ներկայիս տարեկան 940 հազար – 1,3 միլիոնից կրճատվի մինչեւ կես միլիոն դեպքից պակաս:
Այսօր աշխարհում 36,7 միլիոն մարդ Է ապրում ՄԻԱՎ/ՁԻԱՀ-ով, նրանց մեծ մասն՝ Աֆրիկայի՝ Սահարայից հարավ ընկած երկրներում, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
