Բրիտանական The Telegraph պարբերականը ներկայացրել է 6 հետաքրքիր փաստ աշխարհի ամենափոքր պետության` Վատիկանի վերաբերյալ:
1. Այստեղ աշխարհում ամենաշատն են գինի խմում
Վերջերս հրապարակված տվյալների համաձայն՝ Վատիկանն այն վայրն է, որտեղ աշխարհում ամենաշատն են գինի օգտագործում: Դրա յուրաքանչյուր չափահաս բնակիչ մի տարվա կտրվածքով խմում է միջինը 54.24 լ գինի:
2. Այն ունի աշխարհում ամենակարճ երկաթգիծը
Վատիկանն ունի աշխարհում ամենակարճ երկաթուղային ցանցը, որի ընդհանուր երկարությունն ընդամենը 300 մ է։
3. Այն այցելում են աշխարհում ամենաշատ թվով զբոսաշրջիկները
Վատիկանում մեկ շնչին բաժին է հասնում աշխարհում ավելի շատ զբոսաշրջիկ, քան աշխարհի որևէ այլ երկրում: Այն ունի 800 հոգանոց բնակչություն: Ամեն տարի այստեղ է այցելում միջինը 1.5 մլն զբոսաշրջիկ:
4. Այն ունի իր սեփական եվրոն
2000թ. Իտալիան ու Վատիկանը համաձայնագիր են կնքել, որը հնարավորություն է տվել Վատիկանին հատել սեփական եվրո մետաղադրամներ: Դրանք անարգել շրջանառվում են եվրոգոտու տարածքում:
5. Հռոմի պապն ունի սեփական բանակը
Վատիկանում տեղակայված շվեյցարացի զինվորներից բաղկացած զորախումբը պահպանում է Պապի անվտանգությունը: Զորախումբը բաղկացած է 135 զինվորից ու կոչվում է Պոնտիֆիկոսի շվեյցարական գվարդիա: Անցած 510 տարվա ընթացքում այս զորախումբը պահպանում է Պապի անվտանգությունը: Հետաքրքրական է, որ զինվորները կրում են խայտաբղետ միջնադարյան համազգեստ, ինչպես նաև թրեր ու ժամանակակից զենքեր:
6. Ոչ ոք չի կարող ծնվել Վատիկանում
Այստեղ քաղաքացիություն չի տրվում ծննդյան վկայականի հիման վրա, այլ տրվում է նրանց, ովքեր ապրում են Վատիկանում: Իրականում ոչ ոքի չի տրվում ծննդյան վկայական, քանի որ այստեղ ծննդատներ չկան:
