Shabat.am-ը գրում է.
1. Սուլոցն ավելի լավ է լսվում և ավելի հեռուն է տարածվում անձրևի ժամանակ:
2. Առնետներն ուլտրաձայնային սուլոցներ են արձակում, որը թույլ է տալիս միմյանց հետ շփվել՝ առանց գիշատիչների ուշադրությունը գրավելու:
3. Մուսուլմանական երկրներում չարժե սուլել: Այնտեղ սուլոցը «սատանայի երաժշտություն» է համարվում:
4. Բոլոր երկրների նավաստիները մշտապես խստորեն պահել են տաբուն, որ ծովում սուլել չի կարելի:
5. Հին սլավոնների մոտ սպանվածների թաղման վայրում հիշատակի ծիսական պարեր էին կազմակերպում, որոնք ուղեկցվում էին անդադար սուլոցներով:

Կանարյան կղզիախմբում գտնվող Գոմերա կղզու բնակիչները խոսում են իսպաներենի բարբառով, բայց ոչ միայն սովորական խոսքով, այլև սուլոցի օգնությամբ: Նրանց լեզուն իր ծագմամբ պարտական է կղզու լեռնային տեղանքին և ճանապարհաների քիչ քանակությանը: Այդ իսկ պատճառով՝ մի գյուղից մյուսը հասնելու փոխարեն, բնակիչները որոշել են սուլել հաղորդագրություններ, որոնց փոխանցման հեռավորությունը կազմում է 5-6 կմ: Այս լեզվով «խոսողները» լեզվի ծայրը հպում են ատամներին և սկսում են սուլել՝ միաժամանակ արտասանելով բառերը մոտավորապես այնպես, ինչպես սովորական խոսակցության ժամանակ:
7. Գեղարվեստական սուլոցը արվեստի հազվագյուտ տեսակ է: Դրա տարատեսակներից է ակադեմիական սուլոցը, երբ նվագախմբերի հետ ելույթ ունեցող արտիստները սուլում են, օրինակ՝ Շտրաուսի կամ Շուբերտի երաժշտությունը: ԱՄՆ Հյուսիսային Կարոլինա նահանգի Լուիսբուրգ քաղաքում արդեն 30 տարի շարունակ անցկացվում է Գեղարվեստական սուլոցի սիրողների և վարպետների տարեկան միջազգային հավաք: Մրցույթի մասնակիցներ ժամանում են նույնիսկ Ավստրալիայից և Ճապոնիայից: Նրանց դատում է ժյուրին, որ կազմված է պորֆեսիոնալ երաժիշտներից,
8. Աշխարհի ամենահզոր սուլիչը storm whistle-ն է: Դրա ձայնի ուժգնությունը 118-120 դեցիբել է, որը խլացնում է անձրևի և փոթորիկների աղմուկը, ինքնաթիռների և ամբոխի ոռնոցը: Սուլիչի ձայնը լսելի կլինի, նույնիսկ, եթե դրա կողքին պայթյուններ հնչեն: Բացի այդ՝ սուլիչը կարելի է օգտագործել նաև ջրի տակ: Storm whistle-ը պատրաստված է հարվածակայուն պլաստիկից: Դրանցից օգտվում է ոստիկանությունը, զինվորականները և ԱՄՆ-ի ռազմածովային նավատորմը:
