 Գյումրեցի թումոյականների աշխատանքները ներկայացված են Վենետիկի բիենալեում: Վենետիկի Մխիթարյան Միաբանության Սուրբ Խաչ հայկական եկեղեցու գավթի տարածքում մայիսի 26-ին տեղի է ունենցել Վենետիկի 15-րդ միջազգային ճարտարապետական բիենալեի Հայաստանի տաղավարի պաշտոնական բացումը: Բինենալեն այս պահին դեռ շարունակվում է:

«Անկախ Կենսապատկեր» խորագիրը կրող հայկական տաղավարը Հայաստանի հետանկախության շրջանի լանդշաֆտային քարտեզագրման ինքնատիպ օրինակ է: Բիենալեին, Ճանաչված արվեստագետների կողքին,  ցուցադրված են նաև «Թումո» ստեղծարար տեխնոլոգիաների կենտրոնի Գյումրիի մասնաճյուղի սաների լուսանկարչական աշխատանքները: Այս աշխատանքները կենտրոնի ճարտարապետական լուսանկարչություն դասընթացին մասնակից 8 սաների գործերն են: Բիենալեին ներկայացված աշխատանքներում հետերկրաշարժյան Գյումրին է՝ իր ճարտարապետությամբ: ճարտարապետությունը փաստագրելու գատնիքները  թումոյականներին սովորեցրել է  գերմանացի արվեստագետ Կատարինա Ռոթերսը:

Երեք շաբաթ տևողությամբ աշխատարանի առաջին կեսը պատանիները անց են կացրել ճարտարապետական լուսանկարչության սկզբունքները յուրացնելով, սովորելով փոխանցել շինությունների երկրաչափական ձևն ու յուրահատկությունը, գտնել համաչափությունն ու հետաքրքիր դետալները, ինչպես նաև տրամադրությունն ու բովանդակությունը: Այս գործում Կատարինայի հետ միասին նրանց ուղղորդեց Թումոյի դասընթացավար Էրիկ Գրիգորյանը:

«Դասընթացը սկսվեց 16 ուսանողի հետ, ընդգրկվեցին այն ուսանողները, ովքեր մինչ այդ անցել էին լուսանկարչական դասընթացը և ծանոթ էին լուսնկարչության գաղտնիքներին, ապա 16-ից մնացին լավագույն  8-ը: Բիենալեի Հայաստանի տաղավարի կազմակերպիչներից Սարհատ Պետրոսյանը նաև աշխատում է Կատարինայի հետ ու այդպես որոշեցին՝ քանի որ թեման համընկնում էր երեխաների դասընթացի թեմայի հետ, բիենալեին ներկայացվեին նաև գյումրեցի թումոյականների գործերը: Նախագիծն այս պահին դեռ շարունակվում է»,-«Արմենպրես»-ին տեղեկցրեց «Թումո» ստեղծարար տեխնոլոգիաների կենտրոնի Գյումրիի մասնաճյուղի ղեկավար Նարե Ավագյանը՝ կարևորելով ոչ միայն այն փաստը, որ գյումրեցի երեխաների աշխատանքներն աշխարհի լավագույն բիենալեներից մեկը համարվող Վենետիկի բիենալեում են ներկայացված, այլ  նաև այն, որ սաներն իրենք իրենց համար «բացահայտեցին» Գյումրու ճարտարապետությունը: «Բաժանվել են խմբերի ու տարբեր տեղեր գնացել, լուսանկարել են հուշարձաններ, տնակներ, շինություններ: Գնացել են «Անի», «Մուշ» թաղամասեր ժամերով անցկացրել այնտեղ: Կարող է իրենք ամեն օր աննում  էին  այդ կառույցի կողքով, բայց չեն նկատել այն, իսկ մասանգետի հետ լրիվ այլ աչքերով են արդեն այդ շինությունը բացահայտել»,-հավելեց Նարե Ավագյանը:
