Դեմոկրատական կուսակցությունից ԱՄՆ-ի նախագահի պաշտոնի հավակնորդ Հիլարի Քլինթոնն իր մրցակցին՝ Հանրապետական կուսակցությունից հավակնորդ Դոնալդ Թրամփին գերազանցում Է ձայների 42տոկոս-39 տոկոս հարաբերակցությամբ: Այդ մասին վկայում են Fox News հեռուստաընկերության կողմից անցկացված հարցման տվյալները, որոնք հրապարակվել են հունիսի 9-ին:
Թեկնածուների միջեւ տարբերությունը կազմում Է ընդամենը 3 տոկոս, ինչը վիճակագրական անճշտության սահմաններում Է: Քլինթոնը առավել մեծ աջակցություն Է վայելում թխամորթ ամերիկացիների, կանանց, եկամուտների ցածր մակարդակ ունեցող ընտանիքների ներկայացուցիչների եւ մինչեւ 30 տարեկան ընտրողների շրջանում: Իսկ Թրամփին հակված են աջակցելու հիմնականում սպիտակամորթ տղամարդիկ, պահպանողականորեն տրամադրված քրիստոնյաները եւ անկախ ընտրողները:
«Հարցման մասնակիցներին հարցրել են, թե նրանք կարող են արդյոք փոխել իրենց քաղաքական նախապատվություններն այն բանի ազդեցությամբ, թե ինչ կասի կամ կանի իրենց թեկնածուն մինչեւ քվեարկության օրն ընկած ժամանակաշրջանում,-հայտնել Է հեռուստաընկերությունը:-
Միեւնույն ժամանակ հարցման ընթացքում պարզվել Է, որ, թեեւ ընտրողներն իրենց համար հստակեցրել են քաղաքական նախապատվությունները, նրանցից շատերին դուր չեն գալիս հավակնորդների անձերը: Թրամփի կողմնակիցներից հարցվածների միայն 51 տոկոսն Է հայտարարել, որ «երջանիկ Է» քվեարկելու նրա օգտին այն դեպքում, երբ 48 տոկոսը պատրաստ Է դա անել իր վրա ուժ գործադրելով: Քլինթոնի կողմնակիցների շրջանում այդ հարաբերակցությունը 60 տոկոս Է՝ 37 տոկոսի նկատմամբ, հաղորդել Է ՌԻԱ Նովոստին:
