Գյումրիի դպրոցներից մեկում բացվեց ապրիլի 4-ին զոհված Գևորգ Վարդանյանի անվան դասասենյակը

Գյումրիում դպրոցներում դասասենյակներ են անվանակոչվում ապրիլյան պատերազմի ժամանակ զոհված զինվորների ու սպաների անուններով: Գյումրու թիվ 7-րդ դպրոցում հունիսի 10-ին բացվեց Թալիշում նահատակված Գևորգ Վարդանյանի անվան դասասենյակ: Դպրոցի տնօրեն Գագիկ Կարապետյանը նշեց, որ թեեւ Գևորգն այս դպրոցում չի սովորել, մեծացել է Ռո ւսաստանի Դաշնությունում, սակայն նա ազգային հերոս է ու նրա անվան դասասենյակներ պիտի բացվեն ամենուր: «Երանի այն սերնդին, երանի այն ազգին, որն ունի Գևորգ Վարդանյան: Լինելով հազարավոր կիլոմետրեր հեռու՝ հեռավոր Ալթայում, սակայն պատմական հայրենիքից հոգեւոր պորտալարը չկտրած Գևորգ Վարդանյանը սրտի կանչով զգալով, որ հայրենիքն իր կարիքն ունի, եկավ Հայաստան: Եկավ ու երդվեց, որ պիտի պաշտպանի հայոց սահմանները, երդվեց ու պաշտպանեց, պաշտպանեց ու անմահացավ»,-իր խոսքում նշեց Գագիկ Կարապետյանը:Հերոսի անվան դասասենյակը բացելու պատիվը վստահվեց Գևորգի հայրիկին: Դասասենյակում հատուկ անկյուն կա, որը հիշեցնում է Գևորգի մասին՝ լուսանկարներ, պատվոգրեր ու մեդալներ:1996 թվականի օգոստոսի 19-ին Գյումրիում ծնված Գևորգ Վարդանյանի ընտանիքը տեղափոխվել է բնակության Ալթայի երկրամաս, երբ նա դեռ 5 տարեկան էր:
Միջնակարգ դպրոցն ավարտել է այնտեղ, այնուհետ ընդունվել Ալթայի արդյունաբերական քոլեջի գազաֆիկացիայի բաժինը: Երկու տարի սովորելով քոլեջում ու կիսատ թողնելով՝ 2015 թվականի հունվարին վերադարձել է հայրենիք իր պարտքը կատարելու: Զոհվել է ապրիլի 4-ին ԼՂՀ-ի Մարտակերտի շրջանում: Հայրը մտահոգվել է, թե ռուսական միջավայրում մեծացած իր որդին ինչպես պիտի հարմարվի Հայաստանի բանակային կյանքին: Բայց կարճ ժամանակ անց՝ իմացել է, որ Գևորգը շատ լավ է զգում իրեն: Նույնիսկ հայերեն տառերը չիմանալով՝ խնդրել է զինվորական երդումն ու կանոնադրությունը ռուսերեն տա ռերով,բայց հայերեն բառերով իր համար գրեն, որպեսզի ինքը հայերեն երդվի: Ռուսական քոլեջում, երբ ուսանողներին հանձնարարել են որեւէ խնդրի շուրջ վերլուծություն գրել, Գևորգ Վարդանյանն ասել. «Ես հայ եմ, ինձ համար կա մեկ խնդիր՝ Արցախի խնդիրը, ու իր աշխատանքը գրել է այդ թեմայով:
Գևորգի ծառայության ամբողջ ընթացքում նրա ծնողները Հայաստանում չեն եղել,հետը խոսել են ապրիլի 3-ի երեկոյան: Նա հանգստացրել է ծնողներին՝ ասելով. «Մամ ջան, մի անհանգստացեք, ամեն ինչ լավ է, քաշելով առաջ ենք գնում« սրանք ո՞վ են, որ մեր հողերին հասնեն,այս կռիվը մեր մայրերի ու քույրերի համար է»: Գևրոգ Վարդանյանը ԼՂՀ նախագահի հրամանագորվ հետմահու պարգևատրվել է «Մարտական ծառայություն» և ՀՀ նախագահի հրամանագրով՝ «Արիության» մեդալներով:Գևորգի ծնողները որոշել են՝ վերադառնում են հայրենիք, այն հողին ու ջրին, որի համար իրենց որդին զոհվեց ու որտեղ հանգչում է: Ավելին, Գյումրիում արդեն կա Գևորգի գործի շարունակողը՝ Գյումրիում ծննդատանը օրերս լույս աշխարհ եկած երկվորյակներից մեկին Մկրտչյանները կոչեցին Գևորգի անունով:
