«Եվրո 2016»-ի շրջանակում «Արմենպրես»-ը շարունակում է ներկայացնել տվյալ օրը միմյանց հետ հանդիպում անցկացնող Եվրոպայի առաջնությանը մասնակից հավաքականներին: Ուելս-Սլովակիահանդիպումը կսկսվի Երևանի ժամանակով 20:00-ին: 

Ուելսի ազգային հավաքական. Բրիտանական այս հավաքականը ավելի քիչ մասնակցություն է ունեցել միջազգային մրցաշարերի, քան հայտնվել խոսակցությունների կենտրոնում:

Ուելսի  գործերը Եվրոպայի առաջնությունների ընտրական փուլերում մշտապես անհաջող էին: 1976 թվականին պատմության մեջ առաջին անգամ  ուելսցիները մոտ էին Եվրոյի ուղեգիր նվաճելուն: Ընտրական մրցաշարը Ուելսը սկսեց 2-րդ ընտրական խմբում: Հունգարիայի, Ավստրիայի,  Լյուքսեմբուրգի հավաքականները խոչընդոտներ չստեղծեցին նրանց  համար: 5 հաղթանակով  և 1 պարտությամբ վիշապներն անցան քառորդ եզրափակիչ: Հարավսլավացիների հետ հանդիպումները իսկական պատուհաս դարձան Ուելսի գլխին: Զագրեբում բալկանացիները հաղթեցին 2-0 հաշվով: Պատասխան հանդիպումը Քարդիֆում ավարտվեց ոչ ոքի արդյունքով՝ 1-1: Մարզադաշտում զանգվածային անկարգություններ սկսվեցին, ՈւԵՖԱ-ն Ուելսին  զրկեց հաջորդ Եվրոյին մասնակցելու հնարավորությունից:

Ուելսի ընտրանու համար եվրոպական ֆուտբոլի էլիտա վերադառնալու հույսեր առաջացան 2004 թվականին: Ընտրական մրցաշարում  վալիացիները  զբաղեցրեցին 2-րդ հորիզոնականը և ստացան անցումային խաղերին մասնակցելու իրավունք: Ռուսաստանի հավաքականի հետ հանդիպումներն ընթացան էքստրեմալ  մթնոլորտում: Մոսկվայում Ռայան Գիգզը հարվածեց Վադիմ Եվսեյեվին, մրցավարն անգամ չզգուշացրեց նրան: Խաղը ավարտվեց գոլազուկ ոչ ոքի-ով: Քարդիֆում ռուսներն ավելի ուժեղ գտնվեցին: Եվսեյեվը հերոսացավ՝ միակ ու հաղթական գնդակն ուղարկելով վալիացիների դարպասը:

Սլովակիայի ազգային հավաքական. 1990-ին Չեխոսլովակյան հանրապետության փլուզումից հետո իր գործունեությունն սկսեց Սլովակիայի ֆուտբոլի ֆեդերացիան: 1994-թվականին Սլովակները գրանցեցին ՖԻՖԱ-ի պատմության մեջ ռեկորդային առաջխաղացում: 150-րդ տեղից նրանք առաջադիմեցին 92 հորիզոնականով և հանգրվանեցին դասակարգման աղյուսակի 58-րդ տեղում:

Սլովակիան իր ֆուտբոլային պատմության առաջին լուրջ հաջողությունն ունեցավ  2010 թվականին: Վլադիմիր Վայսի թիմը մասնակցեց Մունդիալ 2010-ին: Սլովակները պայքարը սկսեցին  F խմբում, որտեղ մրցակիցներն էին աշխարհի չեմպիոն իտալացիները, Լատինական Ամերիկայից Պարագվայն ու Օվկիանիան ներկայացնող Նոր Զելանդիան: Վերջիններիս հետ մեկնարկային հանդիպմանը սլովակները հաղթանակը  ձեռքից բաց թողեցին վերջին րոպեներին: Ռոբերտ Վիտեկի գոլին  պատասխանեց Ուինսթոն Ռիդը: 2-րդ խաղը Պարագվայի հետ էր: Լատինաամերիկացիները հաղթեցին 2-0 հաշվով: Իտալիայի հավաքականի հետ վերջին մրցավեճը որոշիչ էր: Սկուադրա Աձուրան Ռոբերտ Վիտեկի դուբլին ու Կոպունեկի գնդակին պատասխանեց միայն 2 գոլով: Սլովակիան հաղթեց վճռական խաղում և դուրս եկավ 1/8 եզրափակիչ: Այստեղ սակայն Հոլանդիայի արգելքն անցնելն անհնար էր:

Ուելս-Սլովակիա. Ուելսի և Սլովակիայի հավաքականների ընդհանուր խաղերի պատմությունը շատ աղքատիկ է: Երկու երկրների ընտրանիները միմյանց հանդիպել են ընդամենը 2 անգամ: Եվրո 2008-ի ընտրական փուլում թիմերն ընդգրկված էին միևնույն խմբում: Հավաքականների միջև անդրանիկ հանդիպումը տեղի ունեցավ Քարդիֆում, որտեղ  Սլովակիան ֆիասկոյի ենթարկեց վալիացիներին: Դաշտի տերերից աչքի ընկավ Գարեթ Բեյլը, բայց  Սլովակիան այդ երեկո անկասելի էր: Մայրցամաքից եկած հյուրերը տանտերերի դարպասը 5 գնդակ ուղարկեցին: Պատասխան հանդիպումը կրկնեց Քարդիֆի տարօրինակութ յունը: Այս անգամ էլ տան պատերը բարեհաճ չէին Սլովակների հանդեպ: Տրնավայում վիշապները 5 գնդակ ուղղարկեցին Սլովակների դարպասը: Մարեկ Մինտալի դուբլը ոչինչ  չփոխեց խաղադաշտում:
