Սենոր Հասրաթյանը ֆեյսբուքյան իր էջում գրում է.
Նա եկավ Հայրենիքի մասին ունեցած իր իմացությունները գործնականում ամրագրելու և պատմական իրողությունները արդարացիորեն վերականգնելու հաստատ վճռականությամբ... Եկավ ու դարձավ զինվոր, ԵՐԿՐԻ մարտիկ, ով պիտի գործեր, հերոսանար և ժողովրդի հիշողության մեջ մնար որպես ժամանակի ու տարածության բոլոր սահմանները հաղթահարած մարդ-լեգենդ... ՆԱ, այդպիսինն էր, որևհետև ուներ ազնվության հողի վրա ծնված և հեռուներ ճախրող երազանքներ, որովհետև ինքն այն բացառիկներից էր, ով կարողանում էր հոգևորի և նյութականի անբացատրելի խառնուրդից առանձնացնել առաջնայինն ու գաղափարականը և հանուն այդ արժեքների մաքառել... Այո, իրավամբ, մաքառել, քանզի գիտակցում էր, որ պատմական հայրենիքում վերահաստատվելու ճանապարհին զոհողություններն անխուսափելի են և, որ ազատության ու անկախության գաղափարակիրը պարտավոր է առաջնորդվել վերերկրային օրենքներով: Ասել է թե՝ երկրային անարդարություններին հակադրել սեփական կամքն ու իմացությունը և անմնացորդ նվիրվել հանուն արդարության մղվող պայքարին... Մոնթե մելքոնյանը՝ ԱՎՈՆ այդպիսինն էր էությամբ: ՆԱ գործեց համոզմունքով ու միշտ էլ մնաց ԳԱՂԱՓԱՐԻ ԶԻՆՎՈՐ... Մի առիթով խոստովանել է. ,,Ինձ երբեք չի հետաքրքրում այն, որ մարդիկ ինձ հարգում են, թե՝ ոչ: Իմ համար կենսականն այն է, որ ես ինձ հարգեմ:Առանց սեփական անձի նկատմամբ հարգանքի ես կդառնայի կորուսյալ մի թշվառական: Սեփական անձս հարգելու համար է, որ ես գործում և ապրում եմ: Անձնապես ես չեմ հավատում ուրիշների հետ մրցակցությանը՝ լինի դա ֆիզիկական, մտավոր կամ ցանկացած այլ ձևի: Այն, ինչին հավատում եմ, դա իմ սեփական անձի հետ մրցակցությունն է: Սա մրցակցության ամենադժվար և առավելագույնս հոսախաբ անող տեսակն է, որովհետև ինքդ քեզ գերազանցելն անհնար է: Չէի ասի, որ սա ամբողջովին առողջ մոտեցում է կյանքին, բայց ես այդպիսինն եմ...,, Այդպիսինն էլ ԱՎՈՆ մնաց ճանաչողների հիշողության մեջ... ...1993թ. այս օրը՝ հունիսի 12-ին ընդհատվեց ՄԵԾ ՀԱՅԻ երկրային կյանքը... Մոնթեն 36 տարեկան էր...Հիշենք և մեծարենք հերոսին...
