Գլխացավն առաջանում է յուրաքանչյուր մարդու մոտ, երբեմն մենք ինքներս ենք դառնում դրա առաջացման պատճառը: Սակայն պատահում է այնպես, որ գլխացավն առաջանում է շատ հանկարծակի:
1. Քունքերում հանկարծակի առաջացած ու շատ արագ ուժգնացող ցավ
Նման ցավը վախեցնում է բոլորից շատ, քանի որ այն առաջանում է հանկարծակի ու շատ արագ ուժեղանում է: Նման գլխացավի դեպքում հարկավոր է անմիջապես դիմել բժշկի, քանի որ այն կարող է խոսել առողջության հետ կապված մի շարք խնդիրների, այդ թվում մարդու կյանքի համար շատ վտանգավոր ենթաոստայնային արյունազեղման (սուբարախնոիդալ արյունազեղում) մասին:
2. Վնասվածքից հետո առաջացած ցավեր
Եթե ձեզ մոտ առկա է գլխի վնասվածք, ապա մի մոռացեք ժամանակ առ ժամանակ հետազոտվել բժշկի մոտ: Հաճախակի գլխի վնասվածքը չի անցնում առանց հետևանքների ու ժամանակի ընթացքում կարող են հայտնվել խնդիրներ` հաճախակի գլխացավի տեսքով:
3. Առավոտյան առաջացած գլխացավ
Եթե դուք արթնանում եք առավոտյան ու զգում եք ուժեղ գլխացավ, ապա այդ դեպքում հարկավոր է անմիջապես դիմել բժշկի: Ըստ նյարդաբանության Ազգային ինստիտուտի մասնագետների, դա առողջության հետ կապված բավականին լուրջ խնդիրների ախտանշան է: Դա կարող է լինել ինչպես բարձր զարկերակային ճնշումը, այնպես էլ գիշերային ապնոեն և անգամ գլխուղեղի ուռուցքը:
4. Աչքերից մեկում կամ նրա շուրջ առաջացած ցավ (կլաստերային գլխացավ)
Կլաստերային գլխացավը «սարսափելի ուժեղ» ցավ է, այն այնքան ուժեղ է, որ որոշ գիտնականներ ենթադրում են, որ դա ամենաուժեղ ցավն է, որ մարդը կարող է զգալ:
5. Գլխացավ, որին ուղեկցում է սրտխառնոցն ու տեսողության հետ կապված խնդիրները
Եթե գլխացավը ուղեկցվում է տեսողության վատացմաբ, սրտխառնոցով, դյուրագրգռվածությամբ, պարանոցի ցավերով ու տրամադրության փոփոխությամբ, ապա նման դեպքում հարկավոր է անպայման դիմել բժշկի:

o Եթե զգում եք ցավեր այտոսկրերում կամ աչքերի վերևի մասում, ապա հնարավոր է, որ պատճառը հայմորիտը լինի:
o Եթե առկա են ցավեր ծոծրակում ու պարանոցի վերևի շրջանում, ապա դա կարող է վկայել պարանոցի հետ կապված խնդիրների մասին (ծռվածք, օստեոխոնդրոզ):
o Միգրենին բնորոշ է պուլսային ցավը, սրտխառնոցն ու տեսողության հետ կապված խնդիրների առաջացումը:
o Բարձր ճնշման դեպքում գլխացավը կարծես թե սեղմում է գլուխը ամբողջ շրջագծով:
