Դանաքիլ ցածրավանդակը, որը գտնվում է Եթովպիայի Դանաքիլ անապատում, National Geographic-ն անվանել է աշխարհի ամենաշոգ վայրը, որտեղ մարդիկ են բնակվում, գրում է Business Insider-ը:

Աֆար ժողովրդի այս բնակավայրում կլոր տարի պահպանվում է 40 °C, իսկ տարվա շոգ եղանակներին ջերմաստիճանը հասնում է 65 °C -ի: Ցածրավանդակը 100 մետր ծովի մակերևույթից ցածր է, այն լի է կարմիր ապառաժներով, ծծմբաթթվի և աղի պաշարներով:

Երկրաբանները կարծում են, որ աղը կուտակվել է ժամանակի ընթացքում, երբ Կարմիր ծովը ժամանակ առ ժամանակ հեղեղել է այս տարածքը: Ծայրահեղ տապը գոլորշիացրել է ջրերը՝ թողնելով միայն աղը:

Դանաքիլում աղը նշանակում է փող: Տեղական ողջ տնտեսությունը կախված է այս հանքանյութի արդյունահանումից և վաճառքից: Հանքագործներն ավանդական մեթոդներ են կիրառում՝ ուղտի քարավաններ, կացիններ և պարան՝ «դաժան» ավազանից աղը կտրելու, մասնատելու և տեղափոխելու համար:

Դա շատ վտանգավոր աշխատանք է. տապը կարող է սպանել անպատրաստ բանվորներին, իսկ հաճախակի տեղի ունեցող երկրաշարժերի հետևանքով երբեմն գետնի տակն են անցում ուղտերի քարավանները:

Դանաքիլ ցածրավանդակն աշխարհի ամենացածր վայրն է, որը ծածկված չէ ջրով:  

Աչք ծակող կանաչը և ոսկեգույնը արդյունքն են ծծմբի պաշարների, որոնք մակերես են դուրս գալիս ստորգետնյա տաք աղբյուրներից: Տեսարանը միգուցե աչք է շոյում, սակայն այստեղ նեխած ձվի հոտի նման բույր է տարածված: 

Բնակիչներն այս տարածք են ուղևորվում ուղտերի քարավաններով, երբեմն գիշերում են անապատում: 

Ուղտերի քարավանը և հանքագործների խումբը ճամփա է ընկնում վաղ առավոտյան: Եթովպիայի կառավարությունը մտադիր է դեպի աղի հանքեր տանող ճանապարհ կառուցել, ինչի արդյունքում ուղտերի քարավանները մրցակից կունենան՝ ի դեմս բեռնատարների:  

Աղը հենց մակերևույթին է. կարիք չկա խորը փոսեր փորել: 

Աղի շերտերը տաշվում են՝ աղյուսաձև դարձնելու համար՝ դասավորելը և տեղափոխությունը հեշտացնելու նպատակով: 

Այնուհետև ուղտերը բեռնվում են աղե «աղյուսներով» և ճանապարհ ընկնում:  

Այստեղ տարեկան 1,3 մլն տոննա աղ է արդյունահանվում: 

 

Նախկինում աղը նույնիսկ օգտագործվում էր որպես արժույթ, սակայն այժմ տեղաբնակները նախընտրում են կանխիկ փողը:
