Իսրայելի Կնեսետի պատգամավորները պատրաստում են նոր օրինագիծ, համաձայն որի՝ կդադարեցվի զենքի վաճառքը ամբողջ աշխարհում մարդու իրավունքները մեծամասշտաբ խախտողներին: Առաջարկը հավանության կարժանանա Կնեսետի 10-ից 7 կուսակցությունների, այդ թվում` «Լիկուդ»-ի 18 անդամների կողմից: Այս մասին տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ վկայակոչելով «The times of Israel»-ը:

Օրինագիծը բարեփոխված տարբերակն է արդեն գոյություն ունեցող օրենքի,  որը պահանջում էր Պաշտպանության նախարարությունից մերժել մարդու իրավունքները խախտողներին տեխնիկա վաճառող իսրայելական ընկերությունների արտահանման լիցենզիայի տրամադրումը: 

Տասնամյակների ընթացքում Իսրայելին մեղադրել են ամբողջ աշխարհով մեկ մարդու իրավունքները խախտողներին զենք վաճառելու համար, այդ թվում` նաեւ 90-ականներին Ռուանդայի ցեղասպանության ընթացքում: Բոլորովին վերջերս Իսրայելը մեղադրվեց նաեւ Հարավային Սուդանին առաջնակարգ զինքամթերք եւ դասընթացներ տրամադրելու համար:

Իսրայելի այժմյան օրենքը միանշանակ կերպով չի արգելում զենքի վաճառքը մարդու իրավունքները խախտողներին, եւ 2015 թվականին «Մերեց» կուսակցության պատգամավոր Թամար Զանդբերգը եւ կուսակցության ղեկավար Զեհավա Գալոնն առաջադրել էին մի օրինագիծ, ըստ որի՝ պետությունը կդադարեցներ զենքի վաճառքն այն երկրներին, որոնք իրականացրել են մեծամասշտաբ խախտումներ, ինչպիսիք են տանջամահ անելը, անմարդկային պատիժը, առեւանգումը,  բռնաբարություն քաղաքական, էթնիկական, կրոնական հողի վրա: Քննարկվող այժմյան առաջարկը ունի մոտավորապես նույն բովանդակությունը:< /p>

Ապրիլյան պատերազմի ընթացքում Հայաստանում եւ սփյուռքում լայնորեն քննարկվեց եւ դատապարտվեց Իսրայելի կողմից նաեւ Ադրբեջանին զինամթերք վաճառելու փաստը: Հզոր բողոքի ակցիաներ կազմակերպվեցին մի շարք երկրներում, այդ թվում` նաեւ Իսրայելում՝ կոչ անելով կառավարությանը դադարեցնել սպառազինության վաճառքը Ադրբեջանին:
