Իտալիայի հավաքականի գլխավոր մարզիչ Անտոնիո Կոնտեն Եվրոպայի առաջնության խմբային փուլի երկրորդ տուրի՝ Շվեդիայի հետ հանդիպման վերաբերյալ իր մեկնաբանությունն է տվել։ Հիշեցնենք, որ Կոնտեի թիմը 1։0 հաշվով հաղթանակ տոնեց և փլեյ-օֆֆ փուլի ուղեգիր նվաճեց։
-Բարդ հանդիպում էր։ Հատկապես առաջին խաղակեսում դժվարություններ ունեցանք։ Շվեդները լավ էին օգտագործում ազատ գոտիները և շրջանցում էին մեր ֆուտբոլիստներին։ Սակայն անգամ նման պայմաններում մենք մրցակցին գրեթե թույլ չտվեցինք վտանգավոր պահեր ստեղծել։ Հանդիպման ընթացքում բոլոր վտանգավոր պահերը ստեղծեց Իտալիան։ Ո՞վ էր սպասում, որ երկու խաղից հետո Իտալիան փլեյ-օֆֆի ուղեգիր կունենա։ Սա մեզ համար դրական պահ է։
Ես նկատեցի, որ տղաները փոքր-ինչ վախենում են։ Դա հանգեցրեց շատ սխալների։ Ամեն դեպքում բարդ է մոռանալ անցյալը և այն, թե երկու տարի առաջ ինչ տեղի ունեցավ մեր ընտրանու հետ,-«Football Italia»-ի հաղորդմամբ հետխաղյա մամուլի ասուլիսի ժամանակ ասել է Կոնտեն։
