ՆԱՍԱ-ն ներկայացրել է ամբողջությամբ էլեկտրական ինքնաթիռի առաջին նախատիպը

ԱՄՆ-ի ազգային տիեզերական գործակալությունը (ՆԱՍԱ) ներկայացրել է ամբողջությամբ էլեկտրական X-57 ինքնաթիռի առաջին նախատիպը, որը հայտնի է որպես  Maxwell, հայտնում է կազմակերպության կայքը, տեղեկացնում է «ՌԻԱ Նովոստին»: 

ՆԱՍԱ-ն X-57-ի նախատիպը ներկայացրել է ուրբաթ Վաշինգտոնում Ամերիկյան օդագնացության եւ աստղագնացության ինստիտուտի ամենամյա ֆորումին: Ինքնաթիռը զինված է 14 պրոպելերային շարժիչով եւ դրանք բոլորը ներկառուցված են իրենց կառուցվածքով բացառիկ թեւրի մեջ: ՆԱՍԱ-ի նախագծողները կարծում են, որ էլեկտրական շարժիչները կկարողանան ինքնաթիռներն ավելի անձայն, արդյունավետ եւ էկոլոգիապես մաքուր դարձնել:   

«ՆԱՍԱ-ի հետազոտական հնարավորությունների ոլորտ X սերիայի կառավարվող ինքնաթիռների վերադարձով, ինչը նոր հորիզոններ նվաճելու ուղղությամբ մեր 10-ամյա նախաձեռնության առանցքային մասն է, X-57  ինքնաթիռի ստեղծումն առաջին քայլ կդառնա դեպի ավիացիայում նոր ժամանակաշրջանի սկիզբ», — ֆորումին հայտնել է ՆԱՍԱ-ի ղեկավար Չարլզ Բոլդենը:  

ՆԱՍԱ-ի նախագծողները հույս ունեն հաստատել այն գաղափարը, որ թռչող սարքի թեւի մեջ ներկառուցված պրոպելերային շարժիչների միջեւ էլեկտրաէներգիայի բաշխումը կհանգեցնի ժամում 175 մղոն (մոտ 280 կմ/ժ) արագությամբ մասնավոր ինքնաթիռի թռիչքի համար անհրաժեշտ էներգիայի հնգակի նվազման: 

Բացի այդ, նման տեխնոլոգիան կբացառի մթնոլորտ ածխաթթու գազի արտանետումները եւ   քաղաքացիական ավիացիայում դեռեւս լայնորեն օգտագործվող կապարի հիմքի վրա ավիացիոն վառելիքի պահանջարկի կրճատման կհանգեցնի: Նախագծողները խոստանում են, որ  տեխնոլոգիան թույլ կտա կրճատել վառելիքի ծախսերը, ինչպես նաեւ 40 տոկոսով նվազեցնել  փոքր ինքնաթիռների շահագործման ծախսերը թռիչքի մեծ արագության պահպանմամբ:
