Առնվազն քսան մարդ է զոհվել Չինաստանի խոշորագույն գետի՝ Յանցզիի միջին եւ ստորին հոսանքներում տեղի ունեցած հեղեղումների պատճառով: Տուժել է ավելի քան 1,8 մլն մարդ:
Ինչպես տեղեկացնում է «Արմենպրես»-ը՝ հղում անելով Սինհուա գործակալությանը, միայն Հուբեյի նահանգում (Կենտրոնական Չինաստան) զոհվել է 4, անհայտ կորել Է 12 մարդ: Հեղեղված է նահանգի 21 գավառ, տարհանվել են տեղի 10 հազար բնակիչներ: Ամենից շատ տուժել է Խուանգան քաղաքը, ուր շտապ կարգով ուղարկվել է հումանիտար օգնություն՝ վրաններ, վերմակներ, հագուստ:
Հորդառատ անձրեւներից առաջացած հեղեղումների մասին հայտնել են նաեւ Ցյանսիի նահանգից (Արեւելյան Չինաստան): Այնտեղ զոհվել Է երկու մարդ, եւս երկուսն անհայտ կորած են հայտարարված: Տրահանվել Է 58 հազար բնակիչ:
Ջրի տակ են հայտնվել հարյուրավոր տներ, ողողված են ընդարձակ գյուղատնտեսական ցանքատարածություններ: Հեղեղված է Ցզինդեչժեն քաղաքը՝ չինական ճենապակու արյունաբերության կենտրոնը:
Օդերեւութաբանները կանխատեսում են, որ անբարենպաստ եղանակը կշարունակվի, հաղորդել է ՏԱՍՍ-ը:
