Մեդիտացիայի փորձը, Կամբոջայում երկար ժամանակ անցկացնելն ու բուդդայական հոգեւորականների հետ մշտական շփումը գլամուրային դերասանուհուն կարծես մեծ ալտրուիստ են դարձրել: Եվ այսպես, բոլորիս կողմից սիրված Անջելինա Ջոլին (իսկ ով չի սիրում, նա ճաշակի հետ խնդիրներ ունի) շարունակում է աշխատել հանուն փախստականների բարօրության:
41-ամյա դերասանուհին, որը ՄԱԿ-ի փախստականների հարցերով գերագույն հանձնակատարի վարչության բարի կամքի դեսպանն է, ելույթ է ունեցել ԱՄՆ պետդեպարտամենտում, որտեղ կոչ է արել փախստականների խնդիրը լուծել նոր ստանդարտներով:
Վաշինգտոնում Ջոլիի հետ հանդիպել է ԱՄՆ պետքարտուղար Ջոն Քերին, որը շնորհակալություն է հայտնել նրան, գործին այսքան պատասխանատու մոտեցում ցուցաբերելու համար:
«Սա նրա վայրկենական քմահաճույքը չէ, սա ցմահ պատավորություն է»,- ասել է քաղաքական գործիչը Ջոլիի մասին:
Իր ելույթի ժամանակ Անջելինան խոսել է այն 65 մլն փախստականների մասին, որոնք հայրենիքից փախել են հակամարտությունների պատճառով: Ջոլին ասել է, որ ստեղծված ճգնաժամն անտեսելը միամտություն ու անպատասխանատվություն կլիներ:
«Համաշխարհային առաջնորդները պետք է նոր մոտեցում գտնեն խնդրի լուծմանը: Օգնություն ուղարկելը բավարար չէ, պետք է համալիր մոտեցում, լուծումներ, կայունություն, պետք է մարդկանց իրենց հայրենիք վերադարձնել: Մասամբ հենց մենք ենք մեղավոր այս ճգնաժամի համար, որը հանգեցնում է նրան, որ անհանդուրժողականությունն ու այլատյացությունը դարձել են մեր կյանքի մի մասը: Բայց ուժը մեր զգացմունքները վերահսկելու ունակության ու այնպիսի քաղաքականություն վարելու մեջ է, որը չի բորբոքի հակամարտություններ, այլ կապահովի կայունություն ու անվտանգություն: Մենք պետք է նախաձեռնությունը մեր ձեռքը վերցնենք ու գտնենք այս խնդրի լուծումները: Սա այն է, ինչով ես հիմա զբաղվում եմ»,- ասել է Ջոլին:
