Վերահամակցման ԴՆԹ-ի կոնսուլտատիվ խորհուրդը (ԱՄՆ-ի Առողջապահության դեպարտամենտին կից կազմակերպություն) հավանություն Է տվել մարդու ծագումնաբանական վերափոխման փորձերի՝ Փենսիլվանիայի համալսարանի գիտնականների հայտին: Այդ մասին գրել Է Science հանդեսը:
CRISPR/Cas9 տեխնոլոգիայով անցկացված գիտափորձերի ընթացքում հետազոտողները պատրաստվում են բարելավել այն իմունային բջիջները, որոնք թույլ են տալիս արդյունավետ պայքար մղել քաղցկեղային հիվանդությունների դեմ:
Գիտափորձերին, որոնք կանցկացվեն երկու տարի, կմասնակցեն քաղցկեղի տարբեր տեսակներով՝ սարկոմայով, մելանոմայով եւ մեիլոմայով, հիվանդ 18 կամավորներ: Ծագումնաբանական հետազոտությունների համար հարթակներ կդառնան երեք գիտական կենտրոններ. Փենսիլվանիայի համալսարանը, Հյուսթոնի համալսարանը եւ Կալիֆոռնիայի համալսարանը Սան Ֆրանցիսկոյում:
