"Որոշակի գեների ցածր ակտիվությունը կարող է վատ ազդեցություն ունենալ մարդու սոցիալական պահվածքի վրա` ներառյալ  առողջ հարաբերություններ ստեղծելու վրա," - ասում են հետազոտողները:

OXT գենը արկա է օքսիտոցինի արտադրման պրոցեսում, իսկ վերջինս հորմոն է, որը կապված է մարդկանց մեծաթիվ սոցիալական պահվածքների հետ: Հաճախ օքսիտոցինը անվանում են "սիրո հորմոն":

Ջեորջիայի համալսարանի թիմը ավելի քան 120 մարդու հետ անց է կացրել գենետիկ թեստեր և գնահատել է նրանց սոցիալական հմտությունները, ուղեղի կառուցվածքը և գործունեությունը:

Հետազոտողները պարզել են, որ օքսիտոցինի ցածր ակտիվություն ունեցող մարդիկ ավելի դժվար էին ընկալում դեմքի արտահայտությունները և ավելի էին մտահոգված իրենց սիրելիների հետ հարաբերությունների համար:

Օքսիտոցինի ցածր մակարդակ ունեցողների մոտ նաև ցածր էր ուղեղի` սոցիալական կյանքի համար պատասխանատու հատվածը:

"Մեր անցկացրած բոլոր թեստերը ցույց են տալիս, որ օքսիտոցինի գենը մեծ դեր է խաղում սոցիալական պահվածքի և ուղեղի գործունեության մեջ," - ասում է գլխավոր հեղինակ, հոգեբանության պրոֆեսոր Բրայան Հաասը:

"Սրանք ընդամենը նախնական բացահայտումներ են և անհրաժեշտ են հետագա ուսումնասիրություններ, սակայն այս ուսումնասիրությունների շնորհիվ մենք կարող ենք ավելի նոր և բարելավված բուժումներ գտնել սոցիալական խանգառումների համար," - ասում է Հաասը:
