Գյումրիի Վարդանանց հրապարակում մեկնարկում է Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապի կողմից մատուցվող Սուրբ Պատարագը: 

Պատարագին աղոթակցելու է Ամենայն Հայոց Գարեգին Բ կաթողիկոսը, համապատարագելու են Հայ կաթողիկե եկեղեցու կաթողիկոս-պատրիարք տեր Գրիգոր եպիսկոպոս Կապրոյանը, ինչպես նաեւ Հայաստանում հայ կաթողիկեների առաջնորդ Ռաֆայել Արքեպիսկոպոս Մինասյանը:

 Գյումրին բարձր տրամադրությամբ է դիմավորում կաթոլիկ աշխարհի առաջնորդին: Չնայած քաղաք մտնող և կենտրոնական հրապարակ մտնող ճանապարհները փակ են, սակայն դա չի խանգարում տասնյակ հազարավոր հավաքվածների խանդավառությանը: Այս պահին արդեն Գյումրիում են հազարավոր ուխտավորներ, ինչպես Հայաստանից, այնպես էլ տարբեր երկրներից: Մինչև ուշ գիշեր քաղաք են ժամանել հայ կաթողիկե ուխտավորներ ՌԴ-ից, Ուկրաինայից, Վրաստանից: «Հոկտոմբեր» կինոթատրոնում բացված մամուլի կենտրոնում հարյուրավոր լրագրողնե ր են: Մտավախությունը, որ բեմը պատրատ չի լինի պապի այցին, առավոտյան ի չիք է դարձել, ողջ գիշեր բոլոր ընկերություններն աշխատել են և խորանն արդեն պատրաստ է: Պատարագը կկատարվի լատինական ծեսով` ուղեկցվելով նաև հայկական շարականներով: 

Ավելի ուշ նախատեսում է Հռոմի պապի հանդիպումը Սբ. Տիրամայր Հայաստանի կուսանոցում, համայն կաթոլիկների առաջնորդը կայցելի Սուրբ Տիրամոր Յոթ Վերք մայր տաճար, կլինի նաև Սրբոց Նահատակաց կաթոլիկ եկեղեցում:
Հունիսի 24-ին եռօրյա այցով Հայաստան ժամանեց Հռոմի Ֆրանցիսկոս պապը: Սրբազան քահանայապետին «Զվարթնոց Արմենիա» միջազգայինօդանավակայանում դիմավորեցին ՀՀ նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանը, առաջին տիկին Ռիտա Սարգսյանն ու Ամենայն Հայոց Գարեգին Բ կաթողիկոսը: Մայր ԱթոռՍուրբ Էջմիածնում տեղի ունեցավ Պապի բարիգալստյան հրաշափառի արարողությունը: Սրբազան քահանայապետը ժամանեց ՀՀ նախագահի նստավայր,որտեղ առանձնազրույց ունեցավ Նախագահ Սերժ Սարգսյանի հետ, որից հետո ՀՀ Նախագահը < /i>և Պապը հանդես եկան հայտարարություններով՝ դիմելով ՀՀպետական պաշտոնյաներին, Հայաստանում հավատարմագրված դիվանագիտական կորպուսի, հանրության ներկայացուցիչներին:

Հունիսի 25-ի վաղ առավոտյան Սրբազան քահանայապետն այցելեց Հայոց ցեղասպանության զոհերի հուշահամալիր: Օրվա ընթացքում Սրբազանքահանայապետը Գյումրիից կվերադառնա Երևան և Հանրապետության հրապարակում տեղի կունենա այցի ամենակարևոր և հանրության համար ամենաբացմիջոցառումը: Կլինի խաղաղության աղոթք, որին կնախորդի և կհաջորդի Հայաստանի ֆիլհարմոնիկ նվագախմբի և պետական երգչախմբի համատեղտոնական համերգը՝ նվիրված Սրբազան քահանայապետի այցին Հայաստան: Հունիսի 26-ի առավոտյան Մայր Աթոռում բաց խորանի մոտ տեղի կունենապատարագ, որը կմատուցի Ամենայն Հայոց Կաթողիկոսը Սրբազան քահանայապետի հաղորդակցությամբ: Այնուհետև տեղի կունենան մի շարքմիջոցառումներ Մայր Աթոռում, որից հետո Սրբազան քահանայապետը և Վեհափառ Հայրապետը կայցելեն հայ ժողովրդի և Հայ Առաքելական Սուրբ եկեղեցուհամար կարևորագույն սրբավայրերից մեկը՝ Խոր Վիրապ, որտեղ միասին աղոթելուց հետո աղավնիներ բաց կթողնեն Արարատի ուղղությամբ և դրանովպաշտոնական ծրագիրը կավարտվի: Սրբազան քահանայապետը կմեկնի օդանավակայան` Հռոմ վերադառնալու համար:
