Անկախ թեկնածու, պատմության պրոֆեսոր Գուդնի Յոհանսոնը հաղթել է Իսլանդիայի նախագահական ընտրություններում՝ տեղեկացնում է Bloomberg-ը:
Յոհանսոնը ստացել է ձայների 39,1 %-ը, նրա մրցակից գործարար Հալլա Թոմասդոթիրը ստացել է 27,9 % ձայն:
Փորձագետների կարծիքով՝ Յոհանսոնի հաղթանակը վկայում է, որ երկրի բնակչությունը «մերժել է հին դարաշրջանի ներկայացուցիչներին և նայում է առաջ»:
